Spawned due to a great comment in the "Who's more close-minded: NTJs or NTPs?" thread.

It would appear to be the INTP because of the leading function being a Judging one, but perhaps not so much sense the function is internal. It was pointed out that leading with Ne would be the most open-minded, but as such Ne can get slightly obnoxious and overbearing and appear to be stubborn as the fact that the Ne dominant wouldn't want to listen to anyones ideas but their own, thus making them appear more close-minded. Though the ideas that Ne come up with are purely based on surroundings so the said ENTP would need to be open-minded in order to function, otherwise it would be considered Ni and theoretically become a 'J'. So the stubborn Ne can be more close-minded.

This being said if the Ti of an Intp does not see what it considers to be a valid reason why it's wrong it will remain with the same way of thinking until it appears to have been proven wrong. If the Ti is illogical (unhealthy) then it can be more stubborn than the Ne, fundamentally speaking. As I said that Ne spewing itself all over the place would appear superfically stubborn because of it's need to be heard. So... both, but this is to say that the thinking process is unhealthy in itself.

Depends on the person, not the type.

And when you say "close-minded," neither is trying to be.
Ne-primary is open to all sorts of ideas but will be non-committed to them as well.
Ti-primary will judge the rationality of the idea; it can't change unless the data changes, but it will change if the data changes.

Lack of integrity on the person's part is what makes them close-minded, not their functions.

That's exactly what a closed-minded INTP who was pretending to be open-minded sort would say :thelook: I'm onto you INTPs!

Most ENTP's I know tend to think waaay outside the box. this is good sometimes, at other times they have lsot sight of the box though, which isn't so good. so I'd say ENTP of all types is one perhaps least likely to be "closed minded".

Hmmm, I'd say Ti would more likely cause a person to be more close-minded (in the common criteria of it's definition) than Ne...

A Ti dom will be more "guarded" than a Ti aux, imo.
