Yeah, you're right. :steam: Ballz.

There's something I don't like about poetry: how your accent or even your perception can affect whether something rhymes or has the correct meter or not.

I don't think that you
realize just how nerdy
haiku tend to be.
Try debating regulatory policy, or the War on Terrorism, in haiku form -- 5/7/5. It is a riot. The more suggestive and naturalistic, the better!

Who needs sleeping pills when you've got poems
It gives me the pulse of garden gnomes

As NTs, all you guys probably love it
But I'd like to tell those cliche-kings to shove it

Tell me I'm not the only one
who thinks poetry's no fun

I'm taking a class on writing, so pleeeeaasse
don't blame me for getting into this messs...zzzzzz....

Poetry is raped prose.

Well, information
is just another type of
commodity for sale

and information
must be reliable for
unbiased choices

unregulated
markets will never be the
ideal we seek

new vistas open
waves of creativity
as markets take wing

sunset of despots
blossoming spring of freedom
theocracy ends

Yoda liked haikus
graceful grammar he had not
boring was his prose

Ohh, I think I get it.

under the rock, ants
diligently produce light
for queen investors

clouds of commercials
block sunlight, crush their spirits
slavery persists

dawn of a new God
harmony is forgotten
compete, or wither

AHHH those poems actually sound great!! Why does my professor only assign stuff about sentimental romance old people memories?
Because, unlike prof. Warrinier, your professor is not a mathematician? They were never assigned or spoken about in class. Class was about algebra and topology. The (math and physics) students organized a poetry evening and there we met the poet Warrinier.
