When people attempt to intimidate me, I get irritated. When I get irritated, heads tend to roll. This is especially when people try to make me look stupid or bring up past emotional events to use against me. I will find the soft spot and jab a pointy ass stick right where it hurts, over and over until they apologize for bringing up said weakness.

Though I will say, people who have positions of authority over me with no chances of removal and who have control over something I'm helpless over (professors, parents, boss), I wouldn't say I become intimidated -- more of, I know I must shut my mouth otherwise I will end up with an unfavorable outcome. Intimidated into shutting up, I guess.

I generally do the opposite of this, unless money is at stake (so, I will be more patient with bosses, but not much). When someone has authority over me, I kind of start from a confrontational stance. It's never gotten me anything good, but I feel good doing it.

With bosses I tend to lose my cool more often, especially once I get to know them. I find most of them to make incompetent choices and it irritates me to know that I could do better, but as I work in a part-time retail job as a student -- I back down, as I do not need/want to lose my job. It isn't so much intimidation, more of I don't want to lose my source of income over telling a dumb broad off.
Parents -- I'm stuck with for life. I'd rather just go with the flow with them, instead of being ignored at holidays. Professors control my precious grades, they can be right even if they are dead wrong as long as I preserve my A.
