So who has done it?

I used to despise people in general until I realized the benefit of having friends (short-term fun, bouncing off schemes to get another perspective - thereby feeding our secondary function extraverted thinking...).... However I get a little sick of people after a little while. They are an odd bunch, people. Weirdly enough we are somehow odd?... Funny, I just reasoned that most were mentally deficient.

INTJs who socialize and like people are 50x more pleasant to be around.

No I don't think any INTJ's are mentally deficient simply because they are INTJ's. As we get older I think we see the benefits of having some sort of social network/friends/people you hang out with or whatever you want to call it. Yes people still exhaust me at a point and no I can't socialize like my ENFJ can but I don't think I'm bad at it and it opens up possibility that I wouldn't have if I remained relatively isolated.

I try.

I still find it a bit confusing as to how to proceed once I've opened someone up to the idea of becoming a friend.

As far as socializing and being friendly though, yeah, I do that. :D

INTJs who learn to be very sociable are my favourite people to be around. They are amazing.

All I got from this is that reason we socialise is to use people. Whether we appear pleasant or not depends on who we are socialising with. We are very gallant.

You could make the same argument for anyone, though. If you feel compelled to socialize, you are socializing to feed your compulsion. If socializing makes you happy, you're doing it to improve your own happiness etc.

I think I'm a relatively social INTJ, though.

My brother and mother are both ENFJs... so I'm probably more sociable than the average INTJ. As of now, people love being around me and I have a lot acquaintances. I was/am pretty loud and well known when it comes to school/work. Although, I'm sure that everyone is convinced that I'm crazy... I probably come off as an ENTP, but after an hour or two I do get tired of being around people.

I do spend a lot of time with my brother or mother so I've learned how appear more outgoing and outspoken, etc...

World domination can't be done alone.

Keep that in mind.

It is more accepted that socialising makes someone happy therefore it is done for happiness. For it to be done so that we use other people is not necessarily seen as 'good'.

Socialite INTJ? That makes as much sense as a Humanist ENTJ and a Nurturing INTP.

It's true. A.I. isn't advanced enough to make an army of robots to conquour the world, and if it was I'd turn the damn thing off before it betrayed me.

I can testify to the existence of the social INTJ. My favorite ex-boyfriend had strikingly clear preferences for INTJ, but somewhere along the way he decided that he needed to be adept at social networking in order to succeed. So, using only his great big brain and above par observational skills, my INTJ strategized his way to social grace. He became a remarkable conversationalist, and really started to enjoy socializing because he had gotten so good.

Eventually he even became a top-ranking salesman at his company. He hated sales (passionately), but had read somewhere that INTJs are terrible salesmen, and he decided it would be a good stretch for his personality.

It's such an islolating perspective to trap people out... take time away from them.

Do you really beleive that most people are mentally deficient...? Surely they just have other areas of strength, like relationships, of physically, artisitcally etc... I appreciate that you probably evalute people based on smarts, but there other ways to look a them

I think it's a good thing for any type to broaden their range of friends/scail engagment... NTs especally
