As far as

1. Constantly aware of the vast gulf between what is possible and what is actual, leading to a semi-permanent state of dissatisfaction and irritability

2. Tortured by the boredom of routine and the commonplace

3. Discomfort and boredom in most social situations

I believe you are well able to discover strategies (or my intuition tells me thus) on how to address, in the least, those three. The strategies are out there and are very satisfying to discovery and modify.

I have prototypes of mine which are still a work in process; yet I think that the strategies are often unique for the individual and for the INTP preferable if they have a hand on developing or tweaking the strategy for custom fit.

It is had for me to say what I love/hate about my type and what I love/hate about me. I do not identify, or define myself through it, but it is sown within my psyche, so I cannot correctly make a difference, especially in the causality connections.

I just got done calling a male ENTP a "flake," in a PM.

Actually its a crowded head issue, and a link up issue of other people...

My self and an ENFP were the only P types in a room of c.25 people... we were asked to do some activity P's v's J that required us to report thinking about P or J depending on which team....

The J types did an organised list of say 10 things with bullet points etc.

We did a blob chart with probably 30 things just scribbled up there....

Hence we looked a shambles but generated much more information.

We both suffer from issues of not carrying people with us while we think...she is better than me by miles, ut we are both awful.

Say we want to exaplain the route from point A in an idea to point M.... I'll just skip every letter between to two and say the conclusion is M..... Most people don't know how I got there then think WTF.... She on the other hand will say A then say would jog through C, turn right at F etc etc but land in M... sometimes her route sound like verbal dihorea, but at least people can see the steps (albeit only some of them).... With me there reall is a WTF...

I'd say ENFP's were more pheobe liked than ENTPs, who just come over as a bit random and chaoitic... but thats ot because they don't know the steps it's because they have joined the dots up you haven't seen. It looks very random but really, really isn't...

-Often inspired for no real reason (great for creativity)
-I see deeper into things than most.
-I see what I want, and how to make it happen simultaneously (even if I choose not to follow through, ie. laziness)
-Good foresight, things rarely catch me off-guard
-Natural aptitude for learning/mastering skills
-Very selective of beliefs, but I have great conviction in the ones that I do have
-Self-assured/self-confident and independent.

Hate:

-Rather oblivious to sensory details at times
-Tendency to get attached to certain ideas or methods, when they should really be eliminated or upgraded
-Not too good with social skills... yet
-Can appear a little "space-cadet"y to some.
