It's not philosophical... it's physics... and to some extent evolution.

This is a shame that all of this occurs when I am unavailable. While I suppose I could reiterate the sentiments that one would be 'missed', that would be both redundant and an incomplete expression of my thoughts. I'm still working on The Brothers Karamazov (have been reading on the plane), and had looked forward to a discussion on it.

While I can see why some people have gotten 'offended' and why others still have a chuckle, it appears to me that people have become so tied up in what a person says when they leave, simply to inform the general forum 'population' of their leaving and of their reasoning behind it, that somehow emotions get involved, and many of the sort of laudable responses ensued. Nonetheless, even if you don't read this, Provoker, good luck in your pursuits.

Haha, no.

It's not what he said; it's how he framed it.

Plus, he's working on a Master's Degree? How grueling.

Reminds me of Universal on INTPc who 'boasted' an IQ of 125, moments before launching into a misguided (ultimately masochistic) intellectual skirmish wherein he was properly spanked before retreating into forum obscurity.

Why is it that all of these would-be Ivory Tower intellects hide when they get the cobbles to honestly speak their mind?

Undeserved self-entitlement always brings a smile. Provoker makes me laugh.

What?! If INTJs aren't allowed undeserved self-entitlement, not only am I not handing in my badge, I'm changing the rules of the whole system so's no one knows what the hell I'm doing. Self-entitlement will be mine! MINE, I say! MINE!!!.

I do remember you discussing this in vent provoker, it would indeed seem that if the discussions are not to your liking than it would be pointless to stay and/or to try and change others

You are a tool. I wonder if you are missed?

Likely not.
