INTJ humour just sounds like cynical INTP humour!

Well the other day i was going to the shopping centre by my school with a few mates and the 2 girls were at the back talking. Till you know most people are white in my town!

Girl1: Look theres a Nigger!!
Girl2: Thats shocking! Your so racist!
Girl1: Shoo! hes just there.

We all pass the black guy.

Me: Hey why you 2 suddenly gone quiet? Is cause that guys black?

5 min later we are walking towards a black guy.

Me: *stage whisper* Shoo! Thats guys black!

Well, are you INTJs telling jokes to actually get other people to laugh, or are you just amusing yourselves? I think that's a key question to ask here, and the answer might explain much of why others find it tough to get your "jokes," because maybe often times they are not actually jokes.

On another note, I chat with an INTJ nearly everyday and we find ourselves laughing a shit-ton together. He is sometimes my greatest source of laughter, chuckles and giggles in a given day.

Most of the time I am robot but in some cases I don't act that way.
That is true, my "jokes" in general are designed to knock someone from their tracks. That is why I use alot of morbidity and sarcasm.

And in some cases I am just pain in the ass.

Here is something I did to my father a while ago.
I am dead serious through entire thing.

Father:Where are you going ?
Me: I have to take care of something.
Father: Will you be at home at 2 PM to wake me up?
Me: I guess I will.
Father: Will you be at home OR you will not be at home ?
Me: I probably will be, if a bus does not trample me.
Father: About what are you talking about?
Me: I don't know, but stuff like this happen all the time.
Father: Sorry, I am not following you.
Me: Well, traffic is a dangerious business you never know what can happen.
Father: WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU ?!
Me: Nothing, I am just saying that buses can change much in peoples lives.
Father: That is true but what are you trying to say with this?
Me: I am just pointing at obvious.
Father: WTF ARE YOU TALKING!? THERE IS NO BUS LINES THAT DRIVE THROUGH THIS PARTS! WHAT IS OBVIOUS?
Me: Well, since there is no bus to kill me I will be back until 2PM to wake you up. Isn't that obvious?.
Father::censored:

I admit, I can be quite mean to other people.

also I'm totally just imagining the catbus or some other bus with say, elephant legs just like, MOWING YOU DOWN, FLINTSTONE STYLE

not out of ill intent, mind you. The mental image conjured up by "trampled" is just glorious, is all

This thread is starting to convince me that INTJs have no idea what funny is, and I AM one.

Robots have logics for humor. Who've heard of humor that's logical?

Nope... INTJ fail.

I do sarcastic jokes but I can also use more conventional humor.
But I still prefer to have some level of controversy and/or suprise.

Like

Two guys are going through woods alone.

Guy1: DID YOU HEAR THAT? What kind of an animal sound like that?
Guy2: Hmm... I am not sure. It is probably salmon.
Guy1: SALMON !?
Guy2: Yeah, a salmon.
Guy1: Are you out of your mind? There is no way that this is salmon.
Guy2: I am telling you, that is salmon
Guy1: Salmon!? In this time of the night?

Four guys that went togather in highschool have a meet-up after 40 years.

Guy1: My son is the greatest. He is a supervisor in a shop of unused cars and he makes a very good money. But he is a very good person and everybody like him. He is so good that he even gave one car as gift.

Guy2: Well I know that you mean. My son is into a banking and stock market he makes alot of money. But he is so nice that he even gave 50 000$ to a friend so that a guy can solve its life problems a lttle bit.
For him that is not too big money but he made a guy quite happy. I am very proud of him.

Guy3: That is funny. I also have a succesful son. He is a manager in the company that is into a trade of real estates. He makes more money that you sons combined. But he is a good person also. Listent to this, he even give an entire house to a frend who did not have his place. He is the best person I know.

Guy4: My son .... my son ..... MY SON IS GAY!
To be honest he works as streaper in the local gay bar. But to be honest I am still quite proud of him. He does this kinds of things but he is very very good at it. He even got a car, a house and 50 000$ for this.

I don't get it. Do you guys pronounce salmon different over there?

That I what I thought, the joke will not be clear.
Since the translation killed the magic of it.

The point is that the guy thinks that salmon is polling as some forest animal.
In my language this joke works quite well but you must hit another person by suprise. If you have to explain it there is no way it will be funny.

Yes, we are pronuncing it differently. The word you are looking for is "losos"

Wow, this thread is just kinda proving its own point, isn't it?

It would be interesting to see a bunch of INTJs in a room together trying to make each other laugh. It wouldn't necessarily be funny, but it would be interesting.

+1.

It weakened the joke. Even if the language isn't native, poor translation distracts from the impact.

I agree, but I would replace the word "impact" with "insertion".
