Hey all, so I made my family take the test a while back and found out my father is an ISTP. As an ENFJ, this explains our extreme differences so much. (He's literally my opposite)
How did this happen!? It's difficult to communicate with him because he doesn't understand my Fe at all, and Ti just annoys me to no end. Everything has to be matter of fact, "what works, works" and he's very closed off to new ideas and possibilities. He's very unemotional and it's so hard to tell how he's feeling 99.9% of the time. I never know what to talk about with him, and our political views are vastly different.
We still love each other and all, but I just wish I was closer. I don't feel close to him at all and I really want to change that, but I just don't know how. Any other xNFJs have an ISTP parent? How do you get along with them?
