paisley1, you rock.

And, I am no freaking sissy. I can take a punch like any guy thank you very much.
Am I girly? heck yeah! I'm a chick!

also, I think the term sissy was used to mean a weak or cowardly person. Which as far as I know is a rather recent steriotype anyway or there wouldn't be stories like Deborah, Moses' wife (darn, forgot her name), Esther, Ruth...aquila and priscilla...Joan of arc...others I can't think of...

Hell's ya! Stood up to the microphone, and the backup, and survived, have you? It's really a semantic difference, as to whether you define confidence and ferocity by looking the part, the S type, or being the part, the N type. Feelings only have to do with how it's actualized. As an INFJ, I arrogantly look down on the stereotype of man's roles and woman's roles, only held up, at least nowadays, by the biggest meathead's that are, as I would put it, "get thee behind me". Morally superior inuendo, tongue in cheek.

Like I said before, What makes a man is how he treats others and women especially. Its nothing to do with egos/ambishious stunts.. If people want to cling on to the "cultural" definition of whats a "man",, thats fine, but don't hold others to those standards of "manlyness".. If I saw an ESTP, he wouldn't intimidate me one bit. To me, the more arrogance a guy shows, the less of a Man he is.. But we live in a world, where hollywood is constanstly sticking an "Image/images" in our heads and people run with that set "immage/images" and thats how people screw themselves and others over.. Oh, "Integrity" is another huuuuuuuuuuge trait, in which makes a real Man; which seeing the number of single mothers these days, I know some seriously lack this..

Well said. Preaching to the choir, and unfortunately to a lot of deaf ears.

Like anything in life, you don't just look at someones actions but the intentions/motives and their body language.

I guess that I come accross to others as quiet, but definitely not as a 'sissy' or 'wimp'. Some of the things I'm interested in would actually qualify as being "borderline disturbing" but then again, aren't we all in some shape or form, Lol.

Sissy? I haven't heard that term in a while. I am bias toward NF's because I feel that they are the smartest most interesting, funny people. So if people think that's "sissy" then sissy must mean something pretty dern good. By the way angry ayrab, that was a pretty intertaining post. To read all that stuff about your balls and then look over and see the kanga'a getting it on...Thanks for the laugh!

INFP, yes, I'm a sissy, but you can see I'm pretty textbook .. middle of 3 boys, distant father, and enjoyed male company ate an early age. enjoyed male-male sex at a young age. I like girls, had 2 kids, but I have never felt fully "masculine", nor ever felt I'd want to be.. but I have confidence, use my attitude and am able to be assertiive, which some women mistake for masculinity.. but these labels, and expectations.. yah, I'm a true pink sissy and happy to be, even if I hide it around work n that..:newwink:

I come across as a sissy, but people who have known me a while know better.

It might help if you all didn't assume people find you being able to take repeated beat downs (mental, emotion and physical) as noble as you do.

I'm an INFP, but in contrast to most, I have very traditional, conservative values. I respect tradition, but I don't believe in rigidity for gender roles - in other words, it's okay if men aren't completely manly all the time. People are individuals. But I feel that gender is also in our DNA and God created us with different strength and weaknesses. But it is nicer when women can be nice, soft, and feminine, and men can be strong and courageous. Also, men should always walk curbside when escorting women down the street.

I wouldn't say I'm a sissy. Most things I wouldn't do are not out of fear, but a sense of wanting to remain safe and secure. Fear is part of our body trying to keep us alive, but I feel like there is a separation between when you don't want to do something because your scared and when you just would rather play it safe.
