You talk, i love to listen
but then you try to pull me into your thoughts....
which i want.....but its easier with you
not so much a chore to explain myself

You're expressive and will tell me exactly when and why i hurt your feelings
the quote above of Angry Ayrab's is a fine example

you are a die hard individual-i respect that

That was exactly how it was with my INFJ. We didn't have to talk in order to be understood by one another, which was such a relief. I finally felt like someone really got the way I thought. He was so relaxing and calm - I frequently felt like I was talking his ear off, but he told me that he liked to listen to me, and I could tell that he was taking in what I was saying ( as opposed to the person who tunes you out and you can tell they've gone to their happy place ).

i was a total marxist in college. lol

brotherhood and equality, so difficult to argue with that. lol

:D Slap it high my friend! I was pretty socialist myself for awhile as well. The more I read about the idea of sharing and spreading wealth around so that no one would suffer, I couldn't argue against it either, even though I knew it wasn't a very effective form of government. lol

I LOVE ENFPS!!!!!!!! Getting along with them clicks INSTANTLY. literally. I can.. and have.. talked to them for hours which I can't do with everyone. Feels like any barrier is removed when I'm hanging out with them. I've met three that I know for sure are ENFPs and they are awesome.

ENTPs are also good matches for INFJs and i can attest to that as well. Same deal.

I LOVE YOU ENFPS!!!!!

INFJ's make me feel like my brain is being eaten, and in a good way. :D They make me feel like there is someone else in the world who sees humanity the way I do, and that they make people a priority really inspires me.

On a non-romantic note, I have a story about INFJ dedication. My father is an INFJ - he works with the elderly as an occupational therapist, so he's very tuned in to people. I was extremely sick a few months ago, and he pushed and pushed and pushed the doctors for weeks, taking me to their office every other day until someone admitted me to the hospital, because he was terrified that I might die. He stayed with me in the hospital the entire time, only leaving to shower and get something to eat. He slept in a recliner next to my bed for almost a week, and held my hand when I slept. I don't think I would be alive now if it weren't for him being so determined and insistent with the doctors.

Yes, I love ENFP's too. Two of my best friends are ENFP's. It doesn't matter how much time has passed, we just click when we're together. I love their energy and their adaptability. When I have worked with ENFP co-workers they just "get" me immediately and run with it. Definitely synergistic.

I dated an ENTP for 3 years... the interaction between me and an ENTP is virually the same as an ENFP... both don't mind weirdness and actually find it entertaining. Like one of the previous posters said, the relationship is just synergetic. Difference is.... ENTP doesn't talk about feelings the entire time like "Oh that makes me feel so beautiful." "I feel this.." "I feel like blah blah blah." I enjoy both though.

A couple things:

There's a theory that two people with the same primary function but reverse I/E (example: Ni + Ne) will experience multiple orgasms, so that's where the ENxP plus INxJ stuff comes from.

In my expansive personal experience (one INFJ: my mother), INFJs are very passive aggressive. but it's not in the annoying "oh, please feel guilty to prove that you love me, because I'm lame" way... more of a "I'm super sensitive and you've wounded me, but I won't confront it because you might hurt me even more instead of apologizing, so I'll ignore you instead and hope you get the message, but if you don't, I won't tell you for at least another 24 hrs. 'cause I'm lame like that" sort of way.

INFJs are psychic.

Misunderstandings are a major issue with these types as they share 0 common functions (all the Is and Es are reversed). I've been called cold, heartless, cruel, etc. by my mum . With MBTI awareness, however, all this can be ameliorated.

INFJs are definitely dating potential. There's a lot for each to admire about the other, and from where I'm standing, the INFJ has TONS to offer the ENFP. My INFJ is my one person "inner circle" without whom I would be a directionless restless depressed neurotic panda.

I've read a notable number of responses on this site that say INFJs are insane. I haven't experienced that. No, wait... AvereX is probably insane because he liked my sick humor. Still, relative to me, they're not insane.

In conclusion: INFJs, I love you. I'm not sure what we have to offer you, but you are the best friends/loves an ENFP could ask for.

INFJ: dominant introverted intuition, auxiliary extroverted feeling (Ni, Fe)

ENFP: dominant extroverted intuition, auxiliary introverted feeling (Ne, Fi)

Why exactly this is supposed to make for a perfect match, I don't know. That's mostly in the realm of theory, since there is so much more than MBTI type that goes into a good relationship. It is a factor, though.

Clearly, INFJs make outstanding parents. You and I are lucky.

Out of curiosity, what would be a dead giveaway that some girl is an ENFP?

Wait, wait, I know I'm getting to this late so lemme take a deep breath and answer:

"Cause we're freakin' awesome!"

:holy:

This is funny, I think INFJ and ENFP really must have some chemistry because this whole thread was turning into an ENFJ/ENFP hug fest for a while.

Some similarities:

INFJ and ENFP males are hard to gender type online :whistling:

ENFP always seems younger than we are

INFJ seems older (and okay, wiser) than their age

INFJ and ENFP are eccentric. From what I've seen from some of the INFJs on the forum...I agree INFJ is much odder than ENFP. I think it's the Ni vs Fi.

I don't even know what I just said.

I think if you get a bunch of ENFP and INFJ in a room you'll have other people going  and either laughing nervously and heading for the door or being greatly amused.

I generally enjoy the company of ENFPs. Some of by best friends are of this type. And ENFP women are just too cute at times. They're also fun to banter and tease with. :D

And the other hand, however, I've noticed more than once a tendency to also get on the bad sides of ENFPs, which leads to an unofficial blood feud. Take the example of me and CaptainChick.

I think so too. :) Though I feel a little NFJ-ed at times, as my twin sister is an ENFJ and my father is an I. Lots of angsty-ness sometimes. lol

Heya. I'm new to these boards (not to MBTI, though). I wanted to share my empirical experience on the INFJ+ENFP issue.

I was interested in finding an ENFP guy for a date, because INFJs are supposed to go nicely with them. I met this one guy who, incidentally, happened to be an ENFP. I was really really excited! Our first date was a total disaster from the beginning (him being three hours late, and he had me waiting in the cold night (I really did wait all that time, how nice of me)) to the bitter end. We are still friends or casual acquitances, but we just didn't click at all.

Then after a few months a really interesting guy approached me and to my surprise he too was an ENFP. I was happy about it, I so wanted to give that "type" another try. It started out so good, it was so incredible. For the first time in my life I felt like finding a soulmate with whom there were mutual feelings. After one and a half months he grew more and more distant and ultimately broke my heart (and didn't even tell me by himself, just disappeared and avoided me). It didn't come as a surprise to me, an INFJ, but I refused to believe it... I just called myself paranoid "once again".

With both of these (and the next one I went to a date with, an INFP) there was a similar problem: they weren't sharing any of their emotions towards me to me. I had to guess how they felt about me, and it made me paranoid of course. I still don't know how they feel about me. Not sharing to an INFJ equals lots of intuitive guessing equals possible paranoia equals distress.

Actually, I've read that INFJs should pair up with ENTPs, only the second best option being the ENFP. I don't know what to believe, but I have my own experience: the two ENTPs I know are the most wonderful people, and one of them is a close friend of mine. We had an instant connection beyond words and still do. If I'm ever to date again (haha), I wish I could find an ENTP.

Hey Mr. Random,

Just wanted to tell you, I often wait for my victim to tell me their feelings towards me before I say mine.

A couple of reasons

1. don't want to scare them off
2. don't want them to not return the feelings at the same strength I have them.

I think ENFP's (from my experience with myself :hi:) comes off a lot bolder and more articulate than it really is. I really just kind of play off the other person.
