I couldn't imagine being anything but a raving socialist ;) (libertarian, mind) To me it feels like a rather INFP thing, being all idealistic and sharing with everyone and equality and everyone be happy :D (yeah, yeah, I did put idealistic first...)

But I don't know - doesn't seem to be any threads about it, so I thought I'd ask :)

I could be ENTJ or ENFJ, i'm close on the dichotomies...

I'm a nationalist. Used to be a socialist, and I guess I still am in many ways. But I want to take care of my own first in a time when that is not done at all.
Europe is a real mess right now. Especially if you're young and male, the powers that be hates us.

Libertarian leaning towards civil libertarianism, here.

I can't stand the idea of socialism, I still can't quite figure out why. I think I hate what tends to accompany it more so than the idea itself.

Well, yes, I can sort of see that, if you mean the actual instances when people have claimed to have installed socialism (which they obviously hadn't...). I think a main point is that it is on a very theoretical and ideal level for me, mostly based on a sort of instinct towards equality and humanism. Perhaps Socialism as a reaction to Capitalism is a good emphasis to make, which I would say is its origin and what it should largely be about, as a better, though not perfect, option...

By US standards, I'm socialist. But, really, I think what makes for good government more than anything is a lack of corruption. A lot of systems can and have worked, but corruption can screw up any system.

It would surprise me if there weren't some kind of connection. I'm not fantastically good at these things, but features such as having traditional vs. 'rebellious' views, being pragmatic or idealistic, valuing family, and so on, would relate both to specific types and political schools.

A correlation wouldn't surprise me, but anything you get on this site is likely to be skewed. It is generally left-leaning or at least my perception is that it is.

Really? The site in general or the NF forum in particular... Maybe it just proves my theory that the NFs ARE ALL SOCIALISTS!!!:D Workers in all countries unite!

The entire site leans left.

It's nice to have a place like this when most of your family are tea-partiers (thankfully not the ones I live with) and you live in a red state, you know?

Every typology forum I've seen--which is basically all of them, the major ones anyways--is left-leaning to varying degrees. Anyone who isn't a leftist is in the minority.

Libertarian here as well. :)

Democrat for the political & economic system the US has, egalitarian in terms of social issues, anarchist if I could switch systems.

I'm INFP and I'm pretty liberal. I think peace and human rights are very important, which I doubt is very surprising. And environmental awareness. I kind of support the Green Party, actually.

???
I will readily admit that my political views are still changing a lot in some areas over the years.

I would have put myself into the left until some time ago, simply because they were the only ones who seemed to care at all about the fight for fair wages, appropriate working conditions, reasonable balance between poor and rich, putting elementary services into public hand (water, electricity, health care, public transport, infrastructure...) and a social system that is appropriate to a wealthy country. Those were the issues that were most important to me.

Many other things in the left I didn't agree with completely, but I felt I could accept it as a necessary compromise, but some things started to disturb me more and more over the last years, and I realize now very strongly that several of my views are not compatible with them.

Currently I have no idea where I would put myself to. I don't see any political party which I can identify with at the moment. My primary concern right now is the EU politics. Sadly I don't see any party coming up right now which deserves my vote in that matter. I don't really believe you can change anything with votes anymore anyway, but as long as I am not able to do anything more productive, I would usually see it as a duty to vote at least. I just know I will never vote for any of the established corrupt parties, which are all the same anyway.

Sorry for the bit lengthier post whereas everyone else here finds quicker answers

Very liberal. I dont care for libertarianism at all, nor conservatism. I believe in the total equality and equitable treatment of all humans, including access to opportunity. Strongly pro-environment too.
