by full enlightenment, i don't mean full "insight" into the nature or emptiness or the present moment or something. that may come by accident. enlightenment is about owning it.

    isn't eckard tolle an enfj?
Yeah- Enlightenment seems very S-like- being here now. I still think its a concept derived from N's and seems as though more N's focus around it and the concept.

Eckhart Tolle, I'm guessing is either INFJ or ENFJ, definitely.
Is it that by its indefiniteness it shadows forth the heartless voids and immensities of the universe, and thus stabs us from behind with the thought of annihilation, when beholding the white depths of the milky way?

By the way, never forget that what types look like currently - is not - what they've been like some time ago. The Internet era especially brings major changes to the way types realize their abilities and are treated by society.

    Leo Tolstoy - ENFP
    Mark Twain - ENFP
    Charles Dickens - ENFP

    Paul Erdos - INFJ
    Meryl Streep - INFJ
    Jacque Fresco - INFJ

Leonardo da Vinci - ENFP, sounds more plausible than ENTP to me. My argument is very intuitive, but he was a real master of the subtle and gentle curves, plus his sfumato - that is not the approach of ENTPs to nature, their schemes are more 'edgy' and they prefer contrasts more than blurs. All drawings of Leonardo, even his scientific ones, avoid extreme sharpness. In comparison, take Salvador Dali - he is also interested in blending, but in a clear conceptual way, not using mysticism, glow etc. He uses very clean, sharp lines, and I think this is more ENTP-like.

That is not even half of it and those four were all INFJs.
I'm not sure about Plato. I don't think his primary function was N or S - unlike his student Aristotle. Plato could have actually been an INTP, or even more probable: ISTP(ENFJ-shadow) - something like Clint Eastwood. He was quite the athletic champion in his youth and throughout his life. He had at times very black/white views about people: some are good, some are bad, some deserve honor, some not, etc.; with a very sharp and precise cut.

Heh. It's likely that it was an accident, so it could have been any ISP, or EP. The glory of INTPs comes much much later, I believe, in way more complex and abstract matters. Back then, in the caves, INTPs would probably all rely on their ESFJ side.

no, it's only some stupid formulations that make it seem alike.
but a really narcissistic S type can appear like godhead, like an owl, a vessel of emptiness. not enlightened though. unless you think, that animals are enlightened. a lot of people would like to agree with that. but actually the traditions emphasize that enlightenment (per deffinition) is only possible in the human body. naturally no is is "disconnected" from Spirit, if you imagine/define it as basic substance.

btw, S types don't live in the present, they live in the past !

that's why jiddu krisnamurti, for instance, who was speaking to the majority of people, who are S types, always warned them about attachment to the past. also i think he may have been an s type himself. obviously an enlightened person is not limited to type functions, but still has a preference. maybe he was istj or isfj. incredibly stiff anyway. (i am a big fan of his writings, but his videos on youtube are killing me)

why? every shithead is supposed to be NiFe but the only hero i can actually identify with, a little, is supposed to be FeNi?
no, if batman where an enfj, he would breed a whole tribe of robins for his approval. they would dance or sit in hugging-meditation all the time and never notice when the batsign is lightened.
