I've noticed a lot of INFJs describe themselves as shy and serious.
I'm serious too when I'm by myself reading Sartre, but serious about some ideas not as a person.
Granted I'm an introvert, but I'm not particularly shy.
I'd say I'm mostly just playful and kooky.
Am I the lone kook in INFJ land?

I think that I'm pretty "kooky" too... if you mean playful and silly. It's strange because I'm pretty serious in my real life, as far as studies in an independent sense... but I feel like I'm perceived much "kookier" and kind of... "childlike" in other mediums. I think that I mean to display things in a playful sense in order to relate better to other people, but also sometimes get pissed off when I'm not taken seriously in things where I do have a serious stance/knowledge on.

It's a weird dichotomy that I haven't really figured out yet....

I come across as kooky and odd to people... but I think it's been spending too much time with science and music and being lost in my own head... it's destined to get my brains a little off the beaten path.

Although she's INFP, I relate to Belle in this:

Pretty much that idea of kooky.

"My daughter, odd? Where do you get an idea like that?" - Maurice from Beauty and the Beast.

Of course there are kooky INFJs. A lot depends and varies on the enneagram type.

You could be an 4w3 INFJ, who are quite laid back and funny and less serious than most INFJs.

Most INFJs are 4w5s.

Edit -

I just checked your profile and found out that you are INDEED an 4w3 :).

Wow, I am getting good at this enneagram thing.

*Feels clever*

As always.

---

You could also be an So/Sx?

Ps - darling devotee is also a INFJ 4w3. You give a similar vibe to her. Thus the reason I typed you as one. She's a Sx/So though.

I have no idea but just watched this movie in 3D last weekend.

If they didn't tell me, I don't even know how I'd recognize an INFJ IRL
