I appreciate your honesty in saying what you think so plainly. What you have shared above can be the INFJ's greatest strength, ergo their greatest possible weakness. INFJ's can be deceived, certainly by others, but mostly by themselves.

An unstable Ni can project a number of wildly improbable outcomes and assign motives where there are zero, none, some so tenuous and far-fetched as to break with reality.

Just gotta be careful, you know? That allure of god-head, so alluring ...

Well, now we're getting somewhere. "The allure of the god-head" is the Collective Unconscious for Jung. Is the Collective Unconscious reality--all those dream fragments and cave etchings from ancient ages forward? Is it real in the tangible, physical sense? Is the CU past, however ethereal, or is it future?
How is it possible for the Ni to sense probable outcomes? Imagine being in a relationship with such a person. That's why I married an INTJ--same prescience, different choice of applications.

Ne focuses on external possibilities, Ni on internal ones. When the Ni conjures up an archetype from the Collective Unconscious, it seems like a fruitful possibility in real time--the idea or inspiration incarnates itself in history. In terms of relationships, the Other is compared and contrasted with the archetype via a projection. Does the Other match the inspiring figure or fall away from it? Yet it is the Ni's personal projection. It belongs to him or her, not the Other, so of course the Other must rebel against it--the projection is not the Other's real nature.
Some Others feel "elevated" by the projection and will conform to it, but most will challenge the INFJ's projection (hopefully in a loving way), so as to set the relationship on a more realistic course. What's your take on this?

Depending on the result from clash between ego and external stimulae, people react differently, based on wether it reinforces one's mental contructs/expectations or not.
