What did it give you for that?

Those would be very odd results for an INFJ...

Standard results for me, everything between Ni=highest and Si=lowest can vary a bit, but this is typical. And...most lie close together because for most questions I answer 'Somewhat Me'.

Yeah, I think I've seen your results elsewhere, and I find them very interesting, especially in light of how you come across to me.

Your results show your Fe not being very high for an INFJ, and this somewhat comes across online.

You don't seem to have particularly low Fe or anything, but, relative to a Fidelia, for example, it seems to be a less dominant aspect of your persona.

In a lot of ways, the label that would best seem to fit you would be "Ni-dom".

I would agree with you. There are a few lovely INFJ's on here (fidelia included) who I think embody Fe much more than I, and it's very much a part of their communication/'vibe' in their posts, and there is such warmth exuding from them. :wubbie: I think my Fe plays more of a role in my real life in terms of my ability to get along pretty effortlessly in various social settings (sensing group dynamics as well as being able to adjust communication style depending on who I am with - communication has always been cited as a strength of mine in job reviews), and then with those I am close to I think that's where the Fe really comes out.

But yeah- re. your conclusion - it's why in my footer I just put "Ni 5w4 sp/so".

Those are very interesting results as well.

Would you say your Fi is actually that well developed, or do you think the test is just overrating it?

What do you think is your dominant function?

As far as saying what my dominant function is, I can't answer right now because typology is new to me. New as in the last 3 days of this post. I'm reading posters on this forum toss letters around to describe functional relationships and that is greek to me, i.e. I have much to learn. The K2C test shows F much stronger than my Myers-Briggs clarity report, which showed a slight preference for F and a moderate to clear preference for the other 3. The first time I took the K2C test INFP was returned, which upset me because I don't identify with that type (and of all the functions J is the most clear on my MB clarity report) and I figured on reflection that the reason was that I don't like the presentation of the test (it makes me anxious) and I don't think I processed some of the questions very well, probably because it was late, and I was tired and in a hurry. I revisited it after resting and in a calm state of mind and I reported the results on this thread. I have learned over the years that my feelings are truth tellers that tell me valuable things that frequently I'd rather ignore, and moreover I am very concerned not to hurt the feelings of someone else. "If you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all" is Gospel to me. I do think my Fi is highly developed because of my interest in fine arts. When I visit a gallery and really pay attention a work of art will make me feel a certain way. I concluded a long time ago that the best way to understand and judge a piece is to understand my feelings about it and that requires a certain kind of attention. In other words, how a work of art makes me feel is what that work of art is all about, so if I can't understand how I feel about it, I can't understand or I miss altogether what it's all about.

Summary Analysis of Profile
By focusing on the strongest configuration of cognitive processes, your pattern of responses most closely matches individuals of this type: INFJ

Kinda resembles cascadeco's: Ni > Fi > Ne as top functions. [We're both 5w4 sp.]

I always have a problems with these function tests, the questions seem far too ambiguous. Maybe that's kind of the point, and it's a matter of answering how well you relate overall- but it still just seems like there are far too many ways to interpret the question to be able to effectively report how well I relate.

Also, the 'unused' assessment of Se is pretty funny, in a probably-shouldn't-be-funny kind of way.

Z Buck, I'm right with you on the "ambiguous question" issue. I try to imagine real situations I've been in that (I think) applies to what the question is getting at to answer, but I know it could be answered differently. This test features the sentence "understanding the various phrases is part the assessment" which rubs me the wrong way. Of course understanding the question is essential to answering it, but that doesn't help me answer ambiguous questions! Anyway I'd like to get a picture of what these numbers mean, I mean interpreting the numbers. I'm interested in hearing anyone's favorite book or online resource to learn more.

I do find this interesting, as I would expect to get a very similar typical pattern of results. (My raw scores might differ a bit to yours, but they only really illustrate trends/preferences anyway, it's not as though they're inherently quantifiable. ;) I differ with myself on that basis too!) The only real difference is that I would expect to consistently score higher on Si and lower on Se than you.

In a lot of ways, the label that would best seem to fit you would be "Ni-dom".

But yeah- re. your conclusion - it's why in my footer I just put "Ni 5w4 sp/so".

Heh, I hover around a similar conclusion to this, presumably for similar reasons. :) It seems to drive people crazy when they're trying to work out "What type" I am in MBTI terms though! Do you feel that you identify with INFJ as your type overall, despite your reservations?

Personally I feel that I'm quite aware of what I "do" and how that correlates with function theory, but am not necessarily comfortable trying to match those tendencies with a specific MBTI type (because I don't have a personal need to identify with one, and I don't seem to fulfil enough purely objective criteria to fit one). Hence my tendency to give anything but a straightforward answer if someone asks!
