The crowd in a bustling city.

The ticking of clocks.

The innocence of children.

Death.

Sadness.

The complexity of a classical melody.

The bumbling, selfish, loving masses of the great unwashed.

Freedom.

The feeling of experiencing something complex and theoretical. Be it a computer, a group of people, a hidden meaning or the world itself.

These are the things I find beautiful. What about you?

Interesting topic.

What I find beatiful is essentially innocence in people. People that feel lost in soceity, or people that just want to be happy but has to many obstacles to be it. I think the sadness in it is beautiful.
Total quietness, smelling the air in a forest (here in Sweden in the spring), walking around the city of New York where you can be a "nobody" and feel the freedom of not being recognized is very beatiful.
I also think finding out things about people that I didnt know before is beautiful, the suprise of first see them as shallow and then understand the depth and complexity of them.
Aestetic beauty for me is butting my videogames, films and books in neat order. Ohh, and holding a newborn baby and think about all of his/her potentials is pretty damn beautiful moments too.

Starry sable nights.

Wind rustling through soft grass in the dark.

The high, exquisite, dancing of the violin
And the reedy vibrant sound of the oboe
Calling to each other.

A perfectly balanced sentence.

The last pinkish-purple glimmer of sun right before it disappears behind the horizon.

Sunlight scattered like diamonds on open water.

A look of winsome longing in another's eyes.

Someone who abandons complaint and willingly, contently bears the cost of someone else's pain.

A tired mom holding her kid close against her chest.

The perfectly balanced theory.

A carefully honed, complex system, humming away -- pieces moving in interwoven paths, but nothing even jarring, disjointed, or contradictory.

The last echo of a concert orchestra, right before silence ensues and you are hanging in the air, flying along with it.

Wind hissing through a high mountain pass.

The screech of the falcon on its high steep path.

A child's laugh, untwinged by fear or guilt.

Color so deep and textured I could lose myself in it.

Dancers, divers, ice skaters floating through air and landing without a jar or splash.

A beautiful spiral pass through fifty yards into the arms of the receiver without swerve or bounce.

I find it beautiful when you meet someone, once in a great while that has their heart in the same place as yours, and isn't selfish or superficial like the other 99% of the world. That's what i find most beautiful..yeah.

japanese art as far as art goes. right now im listening to "the great gig in the sky" by floyd so i would say my music. the fight between good and evil. there is nothing I find more beautiful then seeing a criminal or convict or just someone "bad" turn their life around and help people. to turn from selfish to selfless.

The Universe, nature, but not human nature
Almost everything and almost nothing at once
Hard question to answer for me

In recent year there's been a lot of pop acts singing about being beautiful or someone or something being beautiful. Now, i know this ain't a new thing but it just feels as if these people don't really know what beauty is and by bandying it around so often it starts to loose all meaning and worth.
You see "beauty" and "beautiful" are powerful words.
It's more than just a physical thing.
It's more than just a nice pair of tits.
Bring the beat in and let me tell them what I think beauty is....

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
I was lucky enough to be near her so I told her.
Funnily enough I missed the freckles on her shoulder,
and that even on the hottest of nights her skin was colder.

Now for me to get my definition of beauty across to ya
I must request your attention for the immediate future
It won't take so long as to put you in a catatonic stupor
As i present my case study example: Tommy Cooper.
If you haven't heard of Tommy I'll do my best to explain.
Tommy Cooper was in the entertainment game
Every granddad in Britain can do a Tommy Cooper impression
With a selection of gags, hand movements and facial expressions
His uniform was a suit and a red fez hat
He would combine jokes and magic tricks "just like that"
He'd drift between the two with the most cack handed transition
He was two part comedian and one part magician
Mistakes and mess-ups were a bit part of his show
Which were real and which were planned only he would know
If he messed up or a certain joke bombed
He would start laughing at himself and soon the laughs would catch on
See Tommy gave no regard to class or grace
His only goal was to put a smile on every single face
All his life Tommy lived to just make people laugh
Whether onstage or at home he would just be acting daft

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
I was lucky enough to be near her so i told her.
Funnily enough I missed the freckles on her shoulder,
and that even on the hottest of nights her skin was colder. [x2]

Whether it appropriate or not become somehow unconnected
Because making people laugh was his only objective
But there's one thing in life that no man can avoid
An this thing will leave the hears of loved ones empty and void.
Death will ALWAYS cause hurt and pain
it can take weeks before a smile is on your face again
sure where reminiscing there can be great happiness
But at the immediate time there's just searing pain and nothing less.
On April 5th, 1984
The London Pallaium was the scene of Tommy's show once more
It was a full house and he had the crowd eating out of his hand once more
Everything, as usual, seemed completely unplanned
And in what seemed like a finale Tommy dropped to the floor
Causing the room to erupt into laughter and rapturous applause
the curtain closed, lights went up and there was no encore
Everybody left there seats and headed for the door
Unbeknownst to them they had witness Tommy Cooper's death
He had given his all until he had nothing left
Now please note that at the moment that this entertainer died
Even with a room full of people not one tear was cried
Much less, they rose to their feet as they laughed and clapped
Now tell me one fucking thing that's more beautiful than that...
Cos' I'm sure I cant think of one.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,
I was lucky enough to be near her so i told her.
Funnily enough I missed the freckles on her shoulder,
and that even on the hottest of nights her skin was colder. [x4]
