I've often thought about having my head preserved to be reanimated later where I could head attached to a stainless steel arachnid body.

Making a separate post about this so that the possible reasoning behind my issue is more likely to be seen and could maybe help anyone struggling with the same.

I posted about my issue on Facebook -- no, my posts aren't usually about brain disorders but I was desperate -- and an old coworker of mine posted saying that she has the same problem. Her doctor told her it was likely a combination of ADHD and OCD (I at least know I have ADHD because I was once diagnosed with it. It was really bad when I was younger.) She explained what happens as "Because our brains think of various possibilities when someone says even the simplest thing, we try to pick one and fixate on it so we can focus. Therefore if someone says the same thing we're thinking about but using different words, it's lost on us because we've already summed it up in our own way."

I've gone 29 fucking years without understanding why my brain does these things and now I might actually have an answer. Thank god the trainer at my job is extremely understanding and seems to have the patience of a monk. I can try to see a doctor for it but in the meantime, I know I'm a hardworker/not just lazy and 'not thinking hard enough.' This hasn't held me back from being good at some of my previous jobs, I've just learned slower than other coworkers.

What else do we have right now?

I think I rather have anything but politics because political discussion is so contentious and just stresses me out because so many people take their political ideologies like very very personally so if you sort of remark one thing differently suddenly 20 people have arrived with pitchforks to disintegrate you and rip your policy ideology to shreds and tell you what a disgusting person you are for disagreeing with anything of their ideologies.

so because of this the smallest amount of assertive voice in the politics section makes me feel like I must come in punching. x.x Which is why I often...make a thread maybe and then run.
