    Default Am I innocent and naive for my age?

    Outside the spheres of (most) religion and politics, with which I am very disillusioned, I seem to be a bit childlike compared to other 18 year old men both in ability and in general. I really don't dig mainstream social gatherings, preferring gatherings which center around the sharing of ideas and warm fuzzies, so it could be that, too.

    Naive people are usually unaware of their naivety. If you hold beliefs you know color things more pleasantly than they are, you are a stubborn idealist.

    This is pretty accurate. I think a lot of people see me as naive, but I choose it with awareness of harsher truths. Stubborn idealist with a grip on reality is really my personal goal.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.
