As long as the shortness is within reason, sure.

To avoid judgments of others, it is best to be at least slightly taller than the female you're attached to. 4'10" is within the reasonable range.

Regarding height, I would say that the majority of heterosexual men happen to find females who are shorter than they are to be more preferentially attractive than girls who happen to be taller.

Yes, but it is interesting to imagine where this cycle starts. just because I prefer short girls doesn't mean I dislike girls taller than me. The problem is, when I find a girl that's taller than me, I expect that she would reject me sooner than I would reject her.

Well, generally speaking, I think it is safe to say that women prefer mating with men who are taller than they happen to be.

In every human population, on average, the males will be significantly taller than the females, (just guessing here, that the diff. is around 3.5 inches or so).

My granny was 4'10" and she married someone who was 6'2" tall

ha ha All the guys I've dated so far, have been 5'11''+. I don't really have a preference though. It just happened that way.

I'm suddenly reminded of Moonraker and Jaws' relationship with that little blond woman.

Yesterday I saw a girl that must've been pushing a flat 4' in height. She was with a guy taller than me... So weird. I couldn't see being with someone nearly 2' shorter than me.
How old are you and where do you live, if I may ask? You have to remember, kids born in early 1990 are legally adults now. Young people are taller (and heavier) than they were before. I can see it amongst the current crop of students at UPenn now. It's not a representative sample (very healthy and wealthy young people, as a rule), but I've never seen so many guys over 6 feet tall walking around before. Southern California also has some giants walking around.

P.S. One of the women who works with me at the hospital has to be about 4'5"-4'6". I constantly am startled when I turn a corner and she's there, head diagonal to mine, walking past.
