This actually happened on Christmas Eve. I went over to my daughters house to do the whole cultural Christian thing and after dispensing with all of the kissing/hugging (Mexicans), I went to the kitchen to drop off the bottles of wine I had brought. While doing so I hear a great commotion from the family room. I went to investigate. My daughters were yelling & sorta cussing at each other but in a bantering way. See, the were playing Call of Duty on a 60' smart TV (split screen) and the action was fast and furious. "Hey dumbass what's taking you so long!!!" I'm getting shot up!" Dumbass?!?! You're the one that said we should go left!!!" etc.

I immediately went into stealth mode lest they begin to self censor. As they continue their good natured ribbing I feel a smile creeping onto my face. See, ever since my oldest started going to middle school (grades 7-9 here) she and her sister began to grow apart. My youngest is 2 years her junior. After a couple of years the gulf between was such that they hardly spoke to one another. Now that they were both at the same school again, the ice began to melt.

Seeing them bonding like that again made me really happy even a little 'misty' eyed. I especially approve of the medium, a FPS, chips off the old block Honing their killer instincts while having no fear 'asserting' themselves.

Two of my immortality projects are doing swell

I'm headed back to Philadelphia, which means I'm finally going to get some answers about a few things that have been gnawing at my brain.

Not looking forward to the mess in my apartment, though.

I'm reading Pandora Hearts in between classes. Hopefully I'll finish it in time to talk about the ending with my friend.

All of y'all in the nonprofit sector need to read this today. I needed to read this today. I will probably re-read it several times throughout the day.

My daughter is too young to walk or even stand on her feet without leaning on something (that might change any day though), but she already "dances" to the sound of music she likes ... bouncing up and down, swaying to the music and baby-headbanging

Friend found a fix online for a major problem I was having with my phone's hardware not registering taps (which I had been mad about for months because I like to play rhythm games and my combo is important to me). Now I can live in peace again.

The loaf of bread I bought today was really soft and soft bread means fresh bread.
Thank you Dolores O'Riordan of the Cranberries. I greatly enjoy the first 10 seconds of Linger.
