My son made a beautiful one-liner at supper tonight. We were all cracking up. I wish I could remember what he said.
“There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

This reminds me, I was in a Costa the other day and it was dead silent, despite there being a lot of elderly couples there and this guy comes in with his toddler and the kid just shatters the silence by singing/shouting suddenly "When there's something strange inna neighbourhood, who yah gonna call? GHOST BUSTAS!!!"

It was hilarious and awesome, really made me smile.

Got a 50 dollar refund to make up for the 50 dollars my landlord is bugging me about because of my check bouncing because of the HR snafu. Sweet!
[Trump's] rhetoric is not an abuse of power. In the same way that it's also not against the law to do a backflip off of the roof of your house onto your concrete driveway. It's just mind-numbingly stupid and, to say the least, counterproductive. - Bush did 9-11

I left off an enormous, stinky fart in my department at work today and I think I got away with it. I feel happy when I can be free of external consequence. I already run the risk of getting a formal warning for my behaviour so being identified as a saboteur of workplace morale will likely bang yet another nail in my coffin.

Take-out (peruvian chicken with chickpeas and plantains) and really good TV (season finale of Elementary).

It is the greatest. Preferably with hot sauce, and without utensils.
