    I made a new friend today. Her name, according to the tag on her collar, is Alley. Coincidentally I met her in the back yard, not far from the alley. I would guess she's about seven months old, and she's very cute and affectionate. Unfortunately she is a little too curious for her own good and loves to climb. I had to coax her down off the roof a couple times, and out of a tree. I thought it might be best to walk down the alley with Alley and guide her home, lest she get herself into trouble.

    Incredible friends and family who have gone above and beyond to support me, believe in me and love me in a time when I have no clue what comes next.
    And so long as you haven’t experienced this: to die and so to grow,
    you are only a troubled guest on the dark earth

    Lunch break in my car. Sunshine. Fall air.
    You hem me in -- behind and before;
    you have laid your hand upon me.
    Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
    too lofty for me to attain.

    [Trump's] rhetoric is not an abuse of power. In the same way that it's also not against the law to do a backflip off of the roof of your house onto your concrete driveway. It's just mind-numbingly stupid and, to say the least, counterproductive. - Bush did 9-11

    I got the complete Millennium on DVD in the post this morning, X-Files bigger, badder, scarier brother, roll on fond memories of the ninties.

    I confirmed that a 2 week stay-cation that I'm planning towards the end of the month has been approved, along with the advance paycheck for it $$$.
    "The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... Some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age.
