    This reminds me of that one youtube video of a little girl handing her dad a cup of "tea"...water...he continued to drink it. The dad finally realizes...wait she cant reach the faucet and follows her into the bathroom where she is getting the water from the toilet.

    I quite appreciate the Gospel of Thomas.

    It has a flavor similar to some of the early Buddhist sutras.

    "mystic" branches of religions, IMO, are all facets of one discipline--different in name, but ultimately trained on the same goal....the individual path of self-discovery and/or enlightenment taking prominence over community, legality and tradition. In that sense, the early "mystic" sects of several religions were more similar to one another than they were to the main branches of the traditions from which they grew (or later grew into).

    I watched sinister and I think that it goes to show that the west can do horror films if it wants to, horror or good ghost stories, its been a while.
