I am listening to Tom Hanks on Radio 4 and I know that there's jokes told all the time about the guy's integrity, like the US government has lost its integrity so its borrowing some of his, but I really do think this guy has it and I already kind of admired him for his films, and the very little I heard about his life now that he's a bit older, though now I think I really admire him as a great person altogether.

Breakfast is EASILY the best meal of the day. I could eat breakfast twice a day and be happy
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... Some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age. Now that I think of it, there are aspects of you that remind me of Ron Swanson...

I wonder if there's more than a coincidential link between Biggles Adventures in Time and Quantum Leap.

Also I'm lead to believe that Quantum Leap was done and dusted in the US long before it actually became popular in the UK, also that the actor from Quantum Leap was not a nice guy, and some of his other roles in which he played a bit of a jerk were more accurate to how he actually was (I was disappointed to find out the same thing about the lead in Due South) and that the "disappointing conclusion" to QL as a consequence of a "shock cancellation" because viewing had plummitted.

I wonder if the same sorts of things would have happened if the show was broadcast today with the internet.
