    And what I came here to say, I wonder why women rarely seem to win on jeopardy? I think it is because they aren't strong enough to hit the buzzer- that must be it.

    But the showing is sort of pathetic.

    Today on Jeopardy!, there was a full female contestant set and iirc all of them went into final with at least 10,000 banked. It was noteworthy and also disturbing because of its noteworthiness.

    I've come to think that it ultimately is important to have trailblazers in the public view, and that it does do something.

    I used to be skeptical of that idea, but I've made enough observations suggesting the opposite to change my mind.

    Ultimately, the mere existence of public figures that defy stereotypes can make a difference.
