Sounds like fun. I think I'm going to try candle making.

Facebook is a weird place - the mother of the Polish family I stayed with during a brief German-Polish student exchange in the nineties just friended me on FB.

Her daughter and I were exchange partners, meaning that our hometowns were sister cities and there was a mutual visit between my school class and her school class in 1995 and 1996. We spend two weeks together (so 4 weeks total over a lifetime), first one week in her town with her family and then one week in my town with my family. It's a nice program and both she and her family were very nice folks. I just can't believe her mother contacts me after 17 years ... must have used an automatic friend search based on an old e-mail address book.

No, wait! I didn't have e-mail back then!
