I have a lightbulb in my purse.
Masquerading as a normal person day after day is exhausting.

    That's enlightening.

Heard something about Borders going bankrupt... and it's one of the few bookstores in the area. Seems like my hometown is turning into an economic wasteland. Stores that were around for over 15 years are disappearing, and these are chains no less. All the politicians keep promising us jobs, and I surely don't see them coming... yeah, we're getting jobs alright... temp ones that don't pay the bills... where the hell are we supposed to live, in shacks for the rest of our lives while fat cats get rich on our money? We're in for a tailspin if we don't do something about the economy.

No shit. And yes. Apparently, we're either suppposed to live that way or have both the ability and knowledge to prey on others like the fat cats- if we aren't and/or we don't have the ability to, then we're just not trying hard enough.

    Lost what?

Apparently some studies say that the majority of jobs will be part-time in a couple decades. Sounds about right, at this rate.

Yes, it's definitely an example of social Darwinism.

The shipping news really comforts me for some reason, no matter what's going on hearing that report generates a kind of calm and equlibrium
