Best Ideas So Far In This Thread

Here are the ideas I'm voting for from this thread:

I like that. Gets to the point. It's important to make sure everyone knows that this isn't just about you. And that it's not some "traumatic" experience that they can forget about and ignore the implications for the rest of their lives.

Good idea. I'm not sure this should be shown at the interment, though, because little kids might be confused and believe it.

    Suits me.
Interesting existential implications there. Oddly appropriate. I like this headstone. It's also an interdisciplinary "teaching moment". And third, it demonstrates the practical value of math. It's like a word problem. But IRL--er, I mean--IRD.

    LMAO!!!

Okay, that's the worst idea in this thread, but in a good way!

Having at least one grim reaper in attendance is a great idea. Even better, some of the older kids can hand out capes and sickles, either at the door or at the cemetery parking lot, as the case may be, and everyone is a grim reaper.

Oh, I forgot to put what I want written on my tombstone. First of all, I don't want to be interred. But if I were, a simple "Dead." would suffice.

    Tombstone? Why bother?

Just put my corpse in a scented trash bag and leave me out by the curb -- Anything more is superfluous.

Oh, shit. What if we brought a rose bush, and everyone, wearing their grim reaper outfits with sickles, used their sickles to CUT THEIR OWN ROSES and toss them onto the casket when it's lowered? That would be an interactive lesson on death, to be sure.

    I'm a genius!

    (a very stable one)

I want to be cremated and turned into fireworks. And at my funeral/firework display, I want everyone to get drunk, get high, fuck, and enjoy their night of celebrating my life.

And then I wanna leave my riches to my friends and family to help them out in their lives. I will make sure my funeral is paid for too cause I don't want that burden on my family.

If I'm married by then (or living together) put half my ashes in a cremation box next to my husband and on my half of the grave ... my kids better engrave:

"Lord, you better be good to me or I will raise hell."
