    After reading a bunch of scary articles about cleaning your ears out with q-tips, and hearing some horror stories from my ENFP friend (a GP in training), I decided that I would break myself of that habit. Prior to that, I'd used a q-tip to clean out my ears maybe once every other day.

    It's been 3 weeks since I stopped, and I am not happy with how the insides of my ears feel. Hoping I get used to it soon.

    When I was a wee child and would get nightmares in the middle of the night I'd sneak into the TV room and watch episode after episode of Iron Chef until I dozed off on the couch.

    Now, I'm not a psychologist, but I'm pretty sure that my low-key desire to be on a cooking competion show is the result of these late night culinary comforts.

    Confession pt 2: One time, around a similar age, I convinced my mom to buy me a yellow bell pepper so I could pretend to be Chairman Kaga.

    I stopped taking my antidepressants about a month ago, initially because I forgot for a few days while I was traveling and after that consciously because I didn't feel bad. I wonder if that's why my moods have been so erratic lately.

    I don't think I will be able to look at emotion the same way again after this year in politics. My belief in it was more innocent than I realized, especially a belief that it represents what's real about us.

    We're not what we feel - we can't be, we've got to be better than this.

    There's a sense of almost spiritual loss here, but it's a necessary loss.

    I look at emotions as an indicator of "how" not necessarily "what/why" of something.
    I am dripping in Finesse.
