on macs freezing, I've had more problems with my pc freezing more times then I've ever had with my mac. So yes both freeze but it seems that macs freeze less for me.

I'm sure they're great. I really only use PCs because they're cheaper, they're what I'm used to, and my husband is Microsoft certified. I have friends who use macs and say that they are better for visual artwork. One in particular is a photographer and swears by her mac. I don't need that kind of functionality, though.

One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.”

i'm generally a mac user but my adorably nerdy boyfriend made a computer for me from spare parts and we put linux on it. i'm using my new-to-me computer now and less of my ibook. i use stupid windows and dos at work.
my ibook is 8 years old and still ticking, mostly, but i'm afraid it will kick the bucket and take all my photos down with it.
i also have an imac, but it's in a box, hard drive waiting to be copied so i can make it the baby friendly computer.just throw it against the wall and see what sticks.

You can't tinker with a Mac and for that they can roast in hell... well that and the over publicised rubbish called podi or some such nonsense.
But like the Muphey's, I'm not bitter.Isn't it time for a colourful metaphor?

I use a PC but my first computer (mom's computer) was an Apple IIe.
My sister and I even had a song about it that made my INTJ friend swoon when I sang it to him. I can still make him swoon just mentioning it.

I'll be able to add a unique perspective soon. I'm a proud PC person since the mid-90s, but I will be taking the plunge and buying a Macbook Pro this summer. The network at my job is Mac and I am the only one of my coworkers that isn't Mac, so I am having real compatibility problems. So far my main objections are the touch pad that's actually also the button, and the cost. But we'll see how I like it after I have it a while.
I just don't want to make Justin Long get that smug smile like in the commercials. I would not be surprised if the next commercial was him giving it to PC's wife and making PC watch through the Mac's conveniently built-in webcam. :pornstar:
