    I survived a world's end again.

I'm going to brag about this to my grandchildren just like my grandmother bragging about surviving the WWII Japanese invasion to us.

They unlike us had reasons to be afraid of.

@Riva you say nothing happened, and indeed nothing observable happened yesterday, and indeed nothing observable may even happen later on, though you are acting as if it's already over and, frankly, it probably is, but for all we know, today is the beginning of the end; or the beginning of a more prosperous time - or just another average day (which seems to be the most likely scenario, but don't jump to conclusions just yet).

Whatever the future holds in store though, it appears more clear that it must be shaped by our own hands, rather than from a salvation wrought into being by other powers.

    Huh. So we're still alive.

But how dead are we inside?

The End of The World is usually my favorite Holiday but all these new afterlives seem uneventful.

Yes, Bologna, you are so right. It is obvious to all of us that we didn't all die on the outside, and yet we are fascinated by the end of us all. Surely this must refer to something, surely it is not all smoke and mirrors?

And so Bologna you have hit the nail on the head, the end of the world refers to our inner life, and indeed even to our shared inner life.

So as Bologna says, the end of the world refers to the death of our inner life.

And although Bologna is not a conspiracy theorist, I am, and I can see a conspiracy to focus all our attention on the outer world so our inner world becomes invisible.

And being invisible, our inner world cries out to be seen. I have been buried alive by the outer world and I need you to dig me out. The outer world is crushing my chest and I cannot breathe, I need you to lift the weight of the world off my chest so I can take a breath.

But the outer world can't hear our cry and is deaf to our words. But our death can't be denied and so surfaces in the dream of The End of the World.
