    A spider *shivers*

I know it was possibly cruel of me but my cat brought a mouse into the house and it wasn't dead but it did keep on falling on it's side. I scooped it up and placed it in the garden by the shed to die (maybe it got better with time). I can't do mercy killings even if it is the best way all round

A big bird of some kind splatted into my windshield one time. Very gross.

When I lived with my friend's family for a while, there was a rat living in the kitchen, and her dad killed it with a shovel. It scream/squealed. I don't like mice/rats, but that traumatized me.

Intentionally, I've only ever killed a fish, I guess, through fishing when I was a kid. And insects, though I generally just take them back outside now that I'm an adult. I used to just kill them without thinking as a kid.

Same. Some girl friends from college had a cat that broke a mouse's legs, and they couldn't do it, so they called me. I hated it. I even try and put spiders outside with a napkin when I can. I hate killing things.

We had a mouse at work get caught in one of those super glue traps, so it couldn't be detached without ripping off its fur and skin. :horor:

I made it as quick and painless as possible. I felt ill about doing it, but I couldn't watch it stuck there in pain and clearly terrified, which seemed far worse.

Intentionally, I have never killed an animal. Unless you count insects; in which case, I once as a little kid caught a grasshopper, kicked over a fire ant hill, and dropped it in the middle of all the scattering ants and watch it die a slow, painful death. I didn't realize this was happen (I was 5 years old), and when I saw it happen, I felt guilty about it for days.

Unintentionally, probably a 12 ounce bluegill. I was fishing, and the hook accidentally got swallowed up. I felt so terrible for doing that.

The pledge class before me at Lambda Chi thought it would be funny to let loose a pig in the fraternity house.

One of the older brothers didn't take kindly to this and promptly took the pig into the showers and slit its throat with a hunting knife.

We had some pretty excellent dinners for a while after that.

I accidentally hit a skunk with my car. By the time I saw it coming it was too late to stop and do anything about it.

Intentionally, I've never killed anything larger than a mouse.
