Default do you go by a nickname

I don't mean shorten version like will for william, but bill would work.

was it given to you or did you choose it yourself?

My name's Elizabeth, but I go by Libby and I don't remember who gave me the nickname I was one when it happened, I even thought my name was Libby til I was 7 and was suprised when i learned my name was Elizabeth, only found that out because we were getting icons blessed of our patron saints and i was asked if i wanted the elizabeth mary's sister elizabeth of egypt as my patron st. I chose elizabeth of egypt
    In no likes experiment.

Definitely not my own or by choice. I think every little group I've been in creates a new nickname for me. Ken-Bone, K-Dawg, BK, umm.. Flaco.

My name's Katherine and I go by Kat.

Some people call me Kitty Kat or Kit Kat. I don't particularly enjoy it when this happens, but I guess I walked into it when I chose to go by Kat.

Yes of course, how many people do you know called Lark?

Is that why your user name is KDude?

Actually, that's mine. I was just lazy when I registered (first name starts with a K).

    Yeah, it's 'nagai' . It's a mis-pronunciation of my last name.

My sister calls me flem, flemgina and other gross things. She called me fish feces today.

I've had too many to count, but I gave many of them to myself. I've had bologna for nearly four years now!

I like the lighthearted ones at times, but I'm more drawn to the meaningful ones given to me by others that capture significant parts of who I am (bologna is really not one of those, but it's fitting in discussions about typology)

I have a nickname that was given to me by others. I do not go by my nickname, only those few that know it use it.
