All for ourselves, and nothing for other people, seems, in every age of the world, to have been the vile maxim of the masters of mankind.

whether or not you credit psychoanalysis itself, the fact remains that we all must, to the greatest extent possible, understand one another's minds as our own; the very survival of humanity has always depended on it. - Open Culture

I do so on a regular basis, partly, I admit, out of sheer morbid curiosity...

Also, have you heard of Fandom Secrets? It's a Livejournal community of sorts with a similar idea, but concerning fandoms.

I read it a lot for awhile months ago, then nothing. I have the first few books that came out.

I think it was good at first. Seemed like a nice outlet. Now people don't send in anything interesting imo so I stopped reading them.

Nope, but I've seen this video (of theirs... I think,) and it was great.

I got really into it after discovering it in 2006, and bought four of the books. I then got bored after a few years. I don't think the secrets are actually less interesting, it's just that I've pretty much "heard it all" at this point, and after a while people's secrets all sound similar to what I've heard before and the novelty wears off.
