    1. I began college as a math major and ended up as an english major.
    2. When I was young, I had wonderful ambitions of being famous. Now I am not sure I really would enjoy infamy.
    3. My father has been stone-cold sober for almost two years now, following 40+ years of being in thrall to the bottle. [Yay, Dad!]
    4. I have attended many different church denominations in my lifetime: Methodist, Baptist, Lutheran, non-denom, Brethren in Christ, evangelical.
    5. I saw The Incredibles six times in the theater when it came out (five of them by myself). I cried almost every time.
    6. When I was in fifth grade, my parents bought me the LP soundtrack to The Hobbit (Rankin-Bass cartoon). I played it so often that I eventually had the entire soundtrack memorized and could quote large sections of dialog... with even the same inflection that the actors used.
    7. I became interested in Dungeons & Dragons when I was in sixth grade. In the mid-90's, I applied for an editor/writer position at TSR and actually got a phone call -- but they wanted a very large commitment out of me with no real promise of a staff position, and since I would have had to move halfway across the United States, I regretfully declined.
    8. If I was starting college over, I would have gone into psychology and possibly counseling.
    9. I have had only broken one bone in my life. Aside from surgery, I think I have only had to be sewn up once.
    10. I had LASIK surgery a few years ago and do not regret it at all, after having worn glasses for 25+ years.
    11. One of my children has cystic fibrosis, a genetic illness. Ironically, he is the most lively of the three.
    12. Another of my children is adopted from China.
    13. I am more like Larry in how I think, but I can still play a very good Bob in my most whiny/snippy moments.
    14. My favorite cartoons of all time are Warner Brothers cartoons directed by Chuck Jones. (And "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" was a masterpiece.)
    15. I have played the piano for 30+ years. (However, my practicing habits are not as firmly established.)
    16. I share a birthday with C.S. Lewis, Madeleine L'Engle, Howie Mandell, Chuck Mangione, and Gary Shandling.
    17. I enjoy art that is either transcendent or unsettling ... IOW, evocative.
    18. I own one of Phil Foglio's original "What's New?" cartoons.
    19. Our 1990 Geo Prism has 255K + miles on it, and the engine has never been replaced and is still running fine.
    20. I have only ever gotten one speeding ticket in my life... and it was actually in a place where I did not know I was speeding. (Grrr....)
    21. Sometimes I snort when I laugh. (Other times I'm lazy and just do the "Sssssssss!" thing.)
    22. Even as a young adult, broccoli used to make me sickly ill; but now I love it!
    23. I am far less engaging/emotional than I appear online. IRL, I am soft-spoken and a bit flat in the "emotional presentation" thing, and spend most of my time watching people and thinking, unless someone else speaks to me first. I also feel people out before opening up.
    24. The only reason I started using computers at all (an Apple IIe, in 1984?) was to play computer games -- specifically, Zork 1-3.
    25. When I was a teenager, I let my cousin trim my hair with an 89-cent pair of scissors in a parking lot outside of Rite Aid, then spent the money with her on pizza. (I got in trouble. )

I met a beautiful 12 year-old prostitute who was pregnant and lived in the literal waste dump with her grandparents. She made them money and bought food for the family. I think it cemented gratitude and compassion within me. I don't want to forget her or the lesson.

Hehe, I heavily enjoyed annoying an uptight school nerd ISTJ (99th percentile in grades, at least) in high school. The expression he made was priceless. But sure, we were friends to some degree. In periods we got well along, but I would always spoil it by being provocative, I couldn’t help myself. :P
