    Wasting time is doing things I don't want to do/don't see a point in doing.

    Watching a movie on the couch is not wasted time, because it's what I wanted to do with that time, etc...

    I guess this is the closest definition for me. I used to have a much broader definition of "wasting time".. but now I see that even relaxation is productive, as a way to deal with anxiety and stress!


    For me, wasted time is when I'm not involved in the planning phase of a project and so I end up having to deal with the inevitable extra work that was created when nobody else thinks ahead
