I am not really familiar with socionics but I do have a question about the ideal dual partners. In my case, it shows a dual as ENFP/ISTP but obviously these are not opposites. I read that alot of ISTJ will convert to ISTP in socionics, and wonder if a socionics ENFP/ISTP would be an MBTI ENFP/ISTJ.

Does any of this make any sense?

Alright, confusions furthers. Correct me if I'm wrong here. "Dual" meaning sharing two different componenets..

Socionics ENFP: Ne Fi Se Ti
Socionics ISTP: Si Te Ni Fe

No shared functions. Shared compenents? As in one introverts/extroverts the others function.

I still want to know if MBTI ISTJ comes over as socionics ISTP.

Many ISTPs can be Socionics ISTps. Si is defined much differently. I'll say this much.. Any type of ISTP that you come across that promotes a lot of laid back, sort of in tune with their body kind of behavior (Si, in Socionics), possibly lazy and carefree about what others do, might very well be a Socionics ISTp. To get a little geeky here, Spike Spiegel (from anime) is a kind of ISTP who would more than likely be a Socionics ISTp (especially the Si subtype).

No, that's conflict when you don't share any functions in common.

Socionics j/p isn't same as MBTI J/P. The intertype relations are explained on this chart.
