there's nothing inhuman about evil; it's incredibly human.

Yet how many of us here are prepared to admit we are evil, rather we prefer to project our evil onto others, even aliens.

And we have done this since time immemorial. We have projected our evil onto scapegoats. And then we have sacrificed the poor scapegoat, usually an innocent lamb.

And there are people today who boast about being washed in the blood of a lamb.

It's an excellent thing that we as a species have evolved beyond the need for a scapegoat. (Yes, this is meant to be ironic. I'm agreeing with you here. )

He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you.
