Anyway, man... I think the best way to start is to try and enroll in a college, and take classes on computer programming. Maybe even take Computer Science as a major, depending on how far you want to go.

By Computer Science, I assume you mean all the cool stuff, from Quantum Computing to AI. Rather than programming (software development).

On the spectrum of computer science, I’m about as theoretical as you can get. One way to put it is that I got through CS grad school at Berkeley without really learning any programming language other than QBASIC.

Although you would be better served with Mathematica or Matlab than Qbasic. LOL

Better yet, I would suggest a PC rather than Mac unless you want to deal w/ VMware fusion or parallels or actually you could mess with both and get a 20% discount on an apple computer and have free sneak peek copies of new OSes and applications through the ADC program. http://developer.apple.com/
