Well, this could go a few places. There's no link, so please take a look at the local newsstand.

excerpt:

Eyes May Really be the Window to the Soul
Mats Larsson, a psychology graduate student at Orebro University in Sweden has linked iris patters to personality traits. Lasson took photos of 428 volunteers' eyes and administered a standard personality test. He then counted the frequency of crypts (squiggly likes radiating out from the pupil) and furrows (circular lines curving around the outer edge of thee iris). He found that a low frequency of crypts was significantly associated with tender-mindedness, warmth, rust, and positive emotions, whereas more distinct and extended furrows were associated with impulsiveness.
...
[He adds] brain and eye development are closely linked in utero, so the appearance of distinctive eye traits might well be related to patterns of brain differences.

I'd also like to add that irises are so unique that even identical twins can be told apart, and iris patterns do not change throughout life. Iris-recognition biometrics are some of the most reliable forms of biometric authentication, to the point that some banks have started using this form of authentication in lieu of PINs at ATMs.

Yeah, I read that!

Very interesting - would be rad if someone did a study of correlation.

*fingers crossed*
