you'd think that ESTP women would be girly considering they are Se doms like ESFP women but they're often tomboys or ladettes and if they are feminine then they're often Jersey Shore material like JWwow. A far cry from Helen Mirren or Meryl Streep.

Bah. I dated a girl (don't think she was ESTP probably ISFP) who could be very tomboyish but could whip the girly girls at feminine charm when she wanted to. A perfect balance of friend and girlfriend. Tomboys can definitely surprise.

Edit: She was definitely more on the Mila Kunis end of the spectrum. One of the loveliest girls and human beings I ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Rolls eyes. That's actually what I use to say but you can't ignore the amount of tomboys that claim to be STPs and the amount of men's men that tend to be ESTx's.

Se is direct and overt which would be considered masculine.

Could this not be the result of stereotypes about xSTPs in the first place?

I mean, if these are the images that people first see when they search for...

ESTP

ISTP

Self explanatory, no?

It could be that STP chicks are so rare that people are stereotyping them based on their male equivalent but I have been in the main ESTP group for years and i've heard people's stories about ESTP chicks and they're nearly always tomboys. Some people even flat out say the way to spot one is that she's a tomboy or she's butch, in this very site before people starting getting all PC.

Yama is being a passive-aggressive little B. Why not respond back to what I actually said instead of liking comments of people who agree with you?

That makes no sense because SFP women are often seen as feminine and they often are feminine when you try to round them up.

That ESTP doing the fingerguns is the most ESTP ESTP that has ever existed. It's kinda overwhelming.

First of all, I don't really trust these lists because there's no way of knowing if they're actually those types. Unless a celebrity comes out and says 'I'm this type' I don't see how these can be trusted. Also, a lot of the time, celebrities have a stage persona and most of what they say and do are probably decided by someone else who manages their image.

ESTPs can be very girly. I lived with one for two years. She used to wear floral dresses and braid her hair all cute. She would spend an insane amount of money on clothes and make up and she'd get upset if someone made fun of her girlish appearance. ExTP girls can be very feminine. They have that tertiary Fe. It's different in ESTPs and ENTPs but you can't fail to notice it. Also enneagram plays a huge role in this as well.

Rolls eyes. That's actually what I use to say but you can't ignore the amount of tomboys that claim to be STPs and the amount of men's men that tend to be ESTx's.

What does that prove though? There could be other factors related to it. Maybe they are mistyped. I know that yama is right because I know a very girly ENTJ and one of my closest friend is a very cute ESTJ. On the other hand, I used to know a very feminine NTP guy who was so girly, people would make fun of him by calling him 'gay' And every single ESFx guy I've known are very masculine. I also know a very macho ISFJ guy.

There are way too many exceptions to be able to generalize people of any type.

It be that STP chicks are so rare that people are stereotyping them based on their male equivalent but I have been in the main ESTP group for years and i've heard people's stories about ESTP chicks and they're nearly always tomboys. Some people even flat out say the way to spot one is that she's a tomboy or she's butch, in this very site before people starting getting all PC.

So if I see a tomboy or a very butch person, should I just assume she's an ESTP without trying to type her myself? How do you type someone? By using the functions. Of course if I see a very enneagram 8ish person I can say, it's very unlikely that this person is an INFP but that doesn't mean they aren't. I'm pretty sure there's some INFP 8 out there. A good scientist always takes exceptions into account when coming to a conclusion.

Also I have observed that people often take on the stereotypical description of type. Like they read the type description and try to become that type. What makes you think these girls aren't doing the same? Or could it be that tomboyish girls get mistyped for ESTPs? So many things to be asked here.

Yama is being a passive-aggressive little B. Why not respond back to what I actually said instead of liking comments of people who agree with you?

No body is obliged to respond to you.

That makes no sense because SFP women are often seen as feminine and they often are feminine when you try to round them up.

This is so not true. I think SFP and STP women are often mistyped as each other. You have the tertiary Fe in ESTPs and the tertiary Te in ESFPs. In that case, wouldn't one expect the Te user to be more aggressive and assertive? Fe users are often concerned with people's opinions and stuff like that. I've lived with several ESFP girls before. Compared to the ESTP I lived with, I'd rather get into a fight with the ESTP that the ESFP because I'd have a better chance of winning.

I'm willing to bet that a lot of ESFP women you know are actually ESTPs and vice versa. Perhaps you should reevaluate how you type people.

Most ESTP i know tend to he good at hot tomboy look  its not what i use at all to judge ESTP. I would say the most tomboyish side of ESTP female is they enjoy activities that is more known as "for guys". I know one who is really to girly to be good at the "for guys" activities and is clutsy...but she loves it and it doesnt stop her. I can call her up and say "you wanna go do XYZ" and she is always up for it.

While there's a definite alpha quality to many ESTPs, I don't think this is synonymous with masculinity and femininity (at least classical versions).

Watch some of Sasha Grey's videos if you have the stomach for it, and even though she is often taking a submissive or supposedly self-degrading position or role, she has a certain air of still being in charge of the room and essentially working everyone else. I think that's part of her appeal and why she was so popular as a pornstar.

How do you know these were actual ESTPs? the tests are garbage and they mistype people all the time.

We're not talking about ExTJ chicks. I have noticed that they're often girly since they care about presentation and SF guys tend to be masculine cause guys are penalized more for appearing feminine than women are for appearing masculine as Poki stated below there can be hot tomboys.

So if I see a tomboy or a very butch person, should I just assume she's an ESTP without trying to type her myself?

You missed the point I was trying to make. People actually thought the correlation was that strong that they would think a girl was an ESTP due to her being a tomboy or butch in this very site. They didn't however say that a tomboy couldn't be any other type.

Like they read the type description and try to become that type. What makes you think these girls aren't doing the same? Or could it be that tomboyish girls get mistyped for ESTPs? So many things to be asked here.

I wish but I doubt that's the case lol.

I type people based on the functions and Fi is so easy for me to spot practically in FPs.

1) I typed her myself. For some reason I'm good at typing others and garbage when it comes to myself lol.

2) Yeah but I've heard TJ women be stereotyped as not being feminine. That was my point though. Yes SF men tend to be masculine but they're masculine by nature, not because they're trying to be if that's what you mean.

3) I have only recently joined the site so I wouldn't know. I'm saying correlation does not imply causation.

4) It could be.

5) I see. Well in that case I believe you

The problem is in typing itself. Typing helps us to evade becoming persons, and enables us to see ourselves and others as objects.

It is a deep rooted fear of becoming a person, we think we can evade it by becoming an object, a type.

We are afraid of the freedom we see coming in becoming a person, so we run and hide, it is the fear of freedom, click on View attachment erich-fromm-the-fear-of-freedom-escape-from-freedom-29wevxr.pdf

Didn't have anything to say to you that they didn't say already. Feel free to continue discussing your observations but keep your insults (that you're too scared to tag me in apparently) out of it. For your own good. I don't actually give much of a shit.

Whaaaaaaat?

Perhaps you are confusing Se with Fe.

I've never seen Se described as feminine nor have I seen Se doms - even women - to be visibly comparatively feminine.

Most ESTP women I closely know are to the tom boyish side with a good grasp of how-to-be-attractively-feminine.
