Hi people. I'm curious about what Myers-Briggs type/enneagram my song-writing style seems most similar to and if it resembles any certain musician's or not.

I re-wrote several songs by Nirvana while keeping the titles the same to derive new meaning from the titles. Tell me what you guys think in the comments section:

HEART SHAPED BOX:

ORIGINAL:
She eyes me like a Pisces when I am weak
I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for weeks
I've been drawn into your magnetar pit trap trap
I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black

Hey!
Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey!
Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey!
Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice, your advice

Meat-eating orchids forgive no one just yet
Cut myself on angel hair and baby's breath
Broken hymen of your Highness, I'm left back
Throw down your umbilical noose so I can climb right back

Hey!
Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice
Hey!
Wait!
I've got a new complaint
Forever in debt to your priceless advice

MY VERSION:

She eyes me like a falcon cause’ I am meek
And I’ve been inside her heart-shaped box for weeks
I’ve been drawn into her duplicitous charisma traps
I wish I could stop falling for traps like a sap

HEY!
WAIT!
I CANNOT STAY AWAY!
Forever enslaved by her endless strong charm
HEY!
WAIT!
I CANNOT STAY AWAY!
Forever enslaved by her endless strong charm
HEY!
WAIT!
I CANNOT STAY AWAY!
Forever enslaved by her endless strong charm

I’m starting to have some powerful doubt now
And then I try to follow through, but just how
Running through the field getting lost have no glee
When you follow just don’t get it what do I see

HEY!
WAIT!
I CANNOT STAY AWAY!
Forever enslaved by her endless strong charm
HEY!
WAIT!
I CANNOT STAY AWAY!
Forever enslaved by her endless strong charm
HEY!
WAIT!
I CANNOT STAY AWAY!
Forever enslaved by her endless strong charm`

COME AS YOU ARE:

ORIGINAL:
Come as you are, as you were
As I want you to be
As a friend, as a friend
As a known enemy

Take your time, hurry up
Choice is yours, don't be late
Take a rest as a friend
As an old

Memoria, memoria
Memoria, memoria

Come doused in mud, soaked in bleach
As I want you to be
As a trend, as a friend
As an old

Memoria, memoria
Memoria, memoria

When I swear that I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun

Memoria, memoria
Memoria, memoria
(And I don't have a gun)

When I swear that I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun
No I don't have a gun

Memoria, memoria

MY VERSION:

Come as you are, as you were

As what you want to be,

As yourself, as what’s you

As what makes you feel free

Take your time, do not rush

It’s your choice, do not fret

Screw the rest, have the best

Make your own:

Euphoria, euphoria

euphoria, euphoria

Come in a truss, not a fuss

As what you wanna be

Fuck the rest, have the best

Make your own:

Euphoria, euphoria

euphoria, euphoria

And make sure that you have the most fun

Yes make sure you have fun

Yes make sure you have fun

Euphoria, euphoria

euphoria, euphoria

(Yes make sure you have fun)

And make sure you have fun

Yes make sure you have fun

Yes make sure you have fun

Yes make sure you have fun

Yes make sure you have fun

Euphoria, euphoria

Smells Like Teen Spirit

ORIGINAL:

Load up on guns
Bring your friends
It's fun to lose and to pretend
She's overboard, self assured
Oh no I know, a dirty word

Hello, hello, hello, how low [x3]
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an Albino
A mosquito, my libido, yeah

Hey, yay

I'm worse at what I do best
And for this gift, I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

Hello, hello, hello, how low [x3]
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an Albino
A mosquito, my libido, yeah

Hey, yay

And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it was hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

Hello, hello, hello, how low [x3]
Hello, hello, hello

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an Albino
A mosquito, my libido

A denial, A denial, A denial, A denial, A denial
A denial, A denial, A denial, A denial

MY VERSION:
We’re up all night,
Getting high, getting into a stupid fight
She's overboard, self assured
But we both know, the dirty word

We go, we go, we go, really low
We go, we go, we go, really low
We go, we go, we go, really low
We go, we go, we go..

The lights are out, they can’t see us
Hope they don’t come, that’d be squeamish
I feel nervous and outrageous
Hope they don’t come, that’d be squeamish
It’d be scary, make me fear-y
Make me wary, make me weary

Yeah!

We’re better then, all the rest
Though it’s not the truest contest
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

We go, we go, we go really low
We go, we go, we go really low
We go, we go, we go really low
We go, we go, we go..

The lights are out, they can’t see us
Hope they don’t come, that’d be squeamish
I feel nervous and outrageous
Hope they don’t come, that’d be squeamish
It’d be scary, make me fear-y
Make me wary, make me weary
Yeah!

This life is long, won’t live in haste
That’d be, an utmost horrid waste
Can be quite hard, leave it behind
Or else, you’ll lose your fuckin’ mind

We go, we go, we go really low
We go, we go, we go really low
We go, we go, we go really low
We go, we go, we go..

The lights are out, they can’t see us
Hope they don’t come, that’d be squeamish
I feel nervous and outrageous
Hope they don’t come, that’d be squeamish
It’d be scary, make me fear-y
Make me wary, make me weary

Life’s a trial, life’s a trial, life’s a trial, life’s a trial, life’s a trial, life’s a trial, life’s a trial, life’s a trial, life’s a trial!

Lithium

I'm so happy 'cause today
I've found my friends ...
They're in my head
I'm so ugly, but that's okay, 'cause so are you ...
We've broken our mirrors [Alt: We broke our mirrors]
Sunday morning is everyday for all I care ...
And I'm not scared
Light my candles, in a daze
'Cause I've found god

Yeah, yeah, yeah [6x]

I'm so lonely, but that's okay, I shaved my head ...
And I'm not sad
And just maybe I'm to blame for all I've heard ...
But I'm not sure
I'm so excited, I can't wait to meet you there ...
But I don't care
I'm so horny, but that's okay ...
My will is good

Yeah, yeah, yeah [6x]

[2x]
I like it - I'm not gonna crack
I miss you - I'm not gonna crack
I love you - I'm not gonna crack
I killed you - I'm not gonna crack

So, what do you guys think MBTI/Enneagram wise for the song-writing style and are there any musicians you feel that line up with the style?

Heroin addict. But seriously, songwriting is personal. Where you got the idea that it is something that can be generalized to a MB type is odd.

Of course it's personal, but certain lyrical styles and ideas probably would align better with certain types over others.

Let's take someone who could write a song about something abstract like fame. He could take fame and personify it, say, as a woman. Let's call her Betty. Then he could write how Betty seduced and deceived him, made his life an illusion. He could ramble on and on and on about Betty, what a bitch she is.

Now, how would you know for certain Betty wasn't actually a person, but was used to personify fame? You wouldn't. Someone could come along and claim, "Well, here's a real simple-minded twit, all he wrote about was a bitchy woman named Betty. Gotta be a sensor, and probably someone who spends his life in relationships."

Meanwhile, the analysis is what was simple-minded, not the lyrics. Get it? I could argue that how one analyzes lyrics reveals more about the person than the lyrics themselves. Who accepts Betty as a real person? And what if Betty gets pissed at Peter Gabriel and all of a sudden decides to shock his monkey?

Cheers.

Yeah, I understand the analysis completely. An SP would of course react much differently to an abstract ideal then an NF/NT.

That as well. While I know you insist against the idea of song lyrics reflecting a certain MBTI type, what type do you feel my lyrics would align with and why?

It seems most similar to Kurt Cobain because you used him for inspiration and followed his style. Maybe if you submitted writing outside of another musicians format, it would be easier to comment on. Still, I am in agreement that it is difficult to place a MBTI assessment with lyrics alone. Most threads that type musicians or artists do so encompassing their words, biography, interviews and music.
