Texas is ENFP?

 Only Austin has a Ne vibe in a way (simultaneously bohemian and tech/research oriented). Ann Richards (ESFP is my guess) gave the state an EFP flavor once, politically speaking.. but the general vibe is ESTJ.

Minnesota- not sure. Depends on the area I think. Minneapolis is pretty upbeat and Cosmopolitan. St. Paul, while urban, has a more small-town and down-home feel compared to Minneapolis. It's also got more of a traditional feel with the preservation of alot of older buildings. Both Minneapolis and St. Paul have alot of cultural diversity and entertainment options pertaining to the arts- museums, theatre, orchestras and the like. The surrounding suburbs are typical for what you'd describe suburbia as. The outlying rural areas are completely different yet. More quiet and low-key, more politically conservative. Hard to assign specific MBTI types to these regions. Minneapolis I see as being more ENxP. St. Paul as more ISxJ. The suburbs, I'd guess are ESxJ. The rural areas seem more ISTJ and ISTP.

i've only been to minneapolis a few times, but it seems pretty xSFJ to me. the whole concept of "minnesota nice" especially. the people there struck me as really friendly and polite, and my friend who went to school there complained about minnesota people being phony and passive-aggressive.

I haven't lived in Texas for a while, but did grow up there.

I think Texas seems conflicted about whether it is ESTJ or ESTP. Aspects of frontier independence and good ol' boy partying give some things an anti-instituational, "I'll do it my way, screw the rules" ESTP feel. However, fundamentalism, idealization of the past and reactionary politics give many Texas organizations an ESTJ feel.

I could see the ESTJ aspect arguably being ESFJ, since the Southern standards of politeness and hospitality are fairly present in the culture (if not as present as they are in the Deep South), but those expectations fall more on women.

Don't see Texas as a whole being very Ne at all.

I could see that (cowboy stereotype is definitely ESTJ 8w7). Texas sorta seems like an ESTJ with some extra Ne, Fi and Fe. Texas women are more XSFX

Yeah...... And I don't think we're extraverted enough. I'd say ISxJ. The midwest is all about stability.

I'd say Texas is strongly ESTJ.

California: ESFP
Colorado: ISFJ
Florida: ESTP
Montana: ISTP
Ohio: ISFP
Oklahoma: ISTJ

Washington: ESFJ or ENFJ

Very 'let's all get along/how ya doing neighboor' Fe dom attitude. Not sure if it's more Si/Ne of Ni/Se though.

If Texas isn't an ESTJ I don't know what state would be.

It's funny how much consensus there is.

Although I can see the ESTP and SF associations mentioned above. Think Wooderson (Matthew McConaghey in Dazed and Confused) mixed with some Jessica Simpson, and that's the other side of Texas.

Those of us who don't live in the US feel left out.

However, I'm originally from Canada - British Columbia. I'd nominate BC (at least the West Coast, where I'm from) as ISFP or possibly INFP.

Texas: ESTJ. Not ENFP. No.

Florida: ISFP?

California: ESTP... I see why you're saying ESFP, but overall the people (hatehatehatehatehate) have a more xSTx feel.
