I see Frink typed as ENTP (and another person gave him a ?), but now I find that he is used as representative of INTP. I was wondering who the character was that was used as the mascot of the INTP Yahoo group, and not knowing the characters well, I had to do a lotof searching, and finally, I found a test and ppt presentation of the types Simpsons personality types showing the character, Prof. Frink, as INTP.

Comic Book Guy - iNTJ
Dr. Frink - ENTP
Ned Flanders - EsFJ
Martin Prince - INTP
Kodos/Kang - ESTJ
Groundskeeper Willie - ISFP
Patty / Selma Bouvier - ISTJ
Waylon Smithers - iSTP

Duffman - ESFJ
Nelson Muntz - ESTJ
Apu Nahasapeemapetilon - ENFJ
Dr. Nick Riviera - ESTP
Lionel Hutz - ESFP
Krusty the Clown - ENTJ
Sideshow Bob - INTJ
Mayor Joe Quimby - ENFP
Dr. Julius Hibbert - ESTJ

Kirk Van Houten - ISFP
Lunchlady Doris - ISTP
Dolphin (Dolph) Starbeam - ISTP
Kearney Zzyzwicz - ESTJ
Hank Scorpio - ENTJ
Disco Stu - eSFP
Fat Tony D'Amico - ISTP

I still think Homer is a fellow ISFP. He seems to usually dislike social situations, he just ends up thrown into a lot of them. Most of the time he'd rather just be on the couch watching the game, having a beer.

Actually I like this short list better. Lisa is the dramatic and confident most of the time

Marge would totally be an INFJ! Flanders too!

Lisa - ENxJ
Bart - ESTP
Homer - ISFP
Marge - ISFJ

The "magic" of the Simpsons is that the four characters are fairly diverse. The main deficiency is that Lisa is the only N, and this is easy to see because she gets all the "N" plotlines. Whenever the plot calls for either an intellectual or an idealist Lisa is the main character of that show.

True.
But I don't think that stems from introversion but rather from Homer just being really lazy.. his Se is very dominant. He just talks too damn much and seems comfortable enough with social situations to be an Introvert.

The E/I is hard to tell with Homer. He's impulsive like a Se dom, but he beats himself up like a Fi dom. Maybe he switches between E and I depending on what the episode requires.

Aside: Frink is the quintessential ENTP. The wacky inventor is basically an ENTP archetype. See also: Doc Emmet Brown.

The Simpsons

My earlier analysis was flawed, here's what it should look like:

Homer - ISFP
Marge - ISFJ
Bart - ISTP
Lisa - INFP

Flanders - ESFJ
Moe - ISTP
Mr. Burns - INTJ
Willie - ISTJ
Otto - ISFP
Milhouse - INFP
Comic book guy - INTP
Skinner - ISTJ

Interesting lemons. I disagree with Sideshow Bob and Ralph Wiggum.

Sideshow Bob seems more like an INTJ to me. He's definitely a planner, strategist, and schemer as he has shown with his plots to kill Bart. Ralph seems more like an ISFP than INFP.

I don't see Smithers as an ISFP. He's not spontaneous at all, he's very scheduled, and not just at work, When they showed his place, it was all clean and organized and stuff. I think more like ISTJ for Smithers, but I guess he could be an F.

Agreed, Smithers doesn't seem like a P at all. ISTJ is a more than decent guess.

For me Smithers is the ISFJ prototype.

He follows Mr. Burns because he is in love with him.
That seems F-ish to me.
