Both. They didn't really change the character in the film version.

From PersonalityCafe: "Noteworthy examples of the Four with a Five-wing include Virginia Woolf, Franz Kafka, Ingmar Bergman, Saul Steinberg, J.D. Salinger, Bob Dylan, Soren Kierkegaard, Hermann Hesse, William Blake, and Hamlet."

I also read that someone considers Conrad Jarrett from Ordinary People as a 4w5 on the EI Discussion Board.

I'm thinking he's more of a 5. Perhaps 5w4?
The way he pined after Lily, I seriously doubt it. A 5w4 would have been sad his beloved ran off with his enemy, but moved on. He stalked her right up to her death.

Kurt Cobain (ISFP)

I don't see how Eli Loker is an 4w5. I don't relate or act like him. I'm a 4w5 enfp. He must be social variant.

From a list in my enneagram book:
4w5

Virginia Woolf
Edgar Allen Poe
Anne Rice
Ingmar Bergman
D. H. Lawrence
Yukio Mishima
J. D. Salinger
Johnny Depp
Bob Dylan
Joni Mitchell
Saul Steineberg
Soren Kierkegaard
Hermann Hesse
William Blake
Laura Wingfield (character from Tennesse Williams' play The Glass Menagerie. Tennesse himself is a 4w3)

I suspect that Leonard Cohen (who has been shown to be a 4) may also have a 5 wing. Cohen didn't really live a conventional life, and seemed to be more introverted and depressed than a 4w3, in my opinion.

For fictional characters, how about Lydia Deetz (Beetlejuice), Lemony Snicket (the character, not the author, A Series of Unfortunate Events) and Holden Caulfield (The Catcher in the Rye)?

As for celebrities, I'm guessing, say, Bill Watterson of Calvin and Hobbes fame. In addition to being a sharp cultural critic, he's also notoriously reclusive.

Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter, INFP)

Luna? I think she's too placid to be a Four; I'm guessing a Nine.

I'm not sure about Caulfield. Personally, I get the image of some kind of pissed off ISTP or INTP 5w6 or 6w5.

I could see 5w4, too.

But then again it's been years since I've read it.

As far as Amelie is concerned... 4w5?

I'm still not very good at typing with the enneagram.

Kurt Cobain (ISFP)

Edward Cullen: 3w4
Kurt Cobain: 5w4
Davy Jones: don't really know, but clearly not a 4

Amélie Poulain is more proabably a 9.

Famous 4w5s in my mind:

Heath Ledger
Marilyn Manson
Keats
Beaudelaire
Becca (Californication)
Drusilla (BTVS)
Lidya (Beetlejuice)
Sidney (Scream)

I'm not sure about Edward Cullen, but I would actually lean towards Bella being the 4w5.

I guess Emily Brönte is a 4w5 too...

Oh, and Robert Smith from The Cure.
