Okay, I feel bad putting one of the most ENTP guys in history up for discussion, but I'm intrigued by some similarities and quirks I have.

In this video, like many others he mentions avoiding learning the names of things, because names tell you nothing about the object. In physics I suffer this constantly. I couldn't care what something is named, unless that name adds something. He's also primarily a creative, is more interested in explaining and teaching than being knowledgeable. He's probably an ENTP, but I feel a strong affiliation. Maybe it highlights the similarity between the two ENP types. His Dad who he talks about learning from might have been an ENFP, because he has ingrained some strange but familiar philosophies.

I suffer from that too! When I first watched the video where he said how he doesnt like learning names of things (or giving names to things) I was: "OMG, FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS THIS" - because I was sooooooo annoyed by irrelevance of name of many stuff I needed to learn [mostly in math], the whole purpose is being missed often. i think it's also linked to the fact that if you name something you limit it in a way, for example if you say something is "Jones's theorem" - next time you mention it you're limiting yourself to that theorem without trying to come to the same laws/theorem on your own, in new way, or even expand it, so this way you're using some FACT, and you know how we feel about facts
I think it's mostly linked to being NP.
