ESTP – who would argue with that? But the latest version played by Daniel Craig stands out among the pack as an ISTP.

Definite STP. Bond always seemed like an Introvert to me in the films (depending on which actor played the role), never really read the books. Brosnan's bond seemed ISTP as well as Craig's. Connery and Moore more like extrovert Bonds. Just an educated guess.

Connery and Brosnan are my favorites, although I associate James Bond with Pierce more since I was a kid in the 90s.

Great example of XSTP/ESXP temperaments from widely known films.

I went through a martini binge because of 007. :newwink:

Yes the pattern is basically that James Bond is a man of action, he get more women, he's laid-back, independent etc, and so, he's an SP. But he's not in a behind-the-scene role, and so, not ISFP. He's also a bad boy and ESTPs and ISTPs are the most bad boy types, ESFP one of the most. His most spontaneous functions are Se and Ti, but there a underjacent vision of big picture and long-term commitment to the group (Ni+Fe): his loyalty to the Queen wich lead him in each one of his adventures.

What types are the bond girls, by the way? I'd say that the main BGs in Moonraker and The spy who loved me are INTPs, the BG played by Isabella Scorupco in Goldeneye is ENTP and that in Casino Royale Vesper Lynd is totally ENFJ.

Thats how the character was designed and if you read the books and what Ian Flemmings thought of different actors you will see daniel craig is closest to to the book and his is definatly ISTP.

You forgot Honey Ryder, who was his first. He popped her cherry in a boat at the end of Dr. No. 007 was a virgin himself before that (I think Sean Connery was as well).
