I've seen the movie "Patton" one time. Montgommery is one on the main characters. I think he was ENTP. He was very logical, versatile and eccentric. His confrontation with Patton seemed very S/N ESTP/ENTP rivality.

Yeah, in the movie, Patton says that he and Montgomery are both prima donnas, except that Patton will admit it and Monty won't.
In terms of strategy, some people criticize that Montgomery was too cautious. I suppose that's comparing him to Patton (ESTP), which sets quite a standard for "caution."
