Denozo: ESTP
McGee: Not really sure. For some reason I'm torn between ISTJ and INTP, even though they're rather different. I don't think I remember what he was like well enough.
Ziva: XSTJ
Abbey: ENFP. I think she shows a lot of Fi. Or maybe it's Fe. She could be ENTP.
Ducky: He's tricky but I'd say INTP. He talks a lot, which would naturally make you think E, but he seems thinking dominated, has a huge bank of useless knowledge he's obviously interested in, which makes me think P, happy staying around by himself and analysing things carefully.

Palmer I don't remember enough of to comment.

McGeek: would guess INTP, but not sure
Ziva: difficult; ISTJ, maybe? She shows sometimes Fi in a way, so it must be at least 3rd function
Abby: xNFP (probably ENFP, but then she is much alone again which leaves a small possibility for INFP maybe; she is only so overactive with her coffein drinks it seems sometimes too)
Ducky: no idea actually
Jimmy: ISTP (and a jerk)

Abbey seems totally ENFP. That's the first thing that came to mind. Why not? Because she likes evil looking stuff?

Gibbs seems pretty J to me. His slight rebellious side seems more his N.

McGee doesn't seem like much of an INFJ. Why do you think so?

Pretty damn sure of those, after that it gets harder:

*Remember that Rationals are the rarest type, so even in positions of science and technology there have to be other types involved. A lot of them are ISTJ's, but neither Abby nor Ducky take an SJ approach to their respective fields, and they aren't Utilitarian enough to be NT's. Ducky's pleasant rambling and Abby's bubbliness seem very NF to me.

Gibbs seems like a good example of an older, well adjusted and "normal" (as in, not a comic book villain or serial killer caricature) INTJ.

gibbs is cool and calculating with good foresight. has a big soft spot, as abby often seems to be able to tap into. he's much more a long-range planner than a moment-to-moment responder. he has a palpable aura of calm, quiet control.

Tony: ESTP 7w8

comes off almost 3w4ish, but he's the only child from a really rich family, which probably accounts for that. he's practical and adaptive but playful and relentlessly flirting. always makes me groan. he's quite capable but doesn't especially seem to want a supervisor position - i suspect because he likes goofing around too much. that nixes 3.

McGee: INFP 5w4

tricky one. mcgee's nerdy, but he's no INTP 5w4. quote from gibbs: "small muscles, big brain, the heart of a lion." he's pretty "squishy" for an INTP. too squishy, imo. i think he's an INFP in NT disguise.

Ziva: ISTP 8w9

calm on the surface, ready at any second to kill you with whatever she has in her hand. takes shit from no one but is kind of shady sometimes.

Abby: ENFP 4w3

this one's easy. abby's NFP with a T twist. she makes goth come off as cute and totally acceptable. she's individualistic and empathetic but with a need to prove herself as competent and to please gibbs. she has a creative elegance.

Looks like anyone that pegged Gibbs as an INFJ was correct. On the season finale, I happened to catch Jamie Lee Curtis' character reference him as an introverted intuitive feeling mind.... So it looks like the writers intended Gibbs to be an INFJ.

I agree, while Ni would explain his "gut feelings" INFJ makes more sense considering how he often has outbursts of anger. Although, he could just be a well developed ISTP, as they do also have Ni and Fe.

McGee: NFP (seems introverted, but kinda fits my impression of male ENFP)

Ziva: INFP (she comes across as TJ with the dominance and boundary setting, but the actress herself seems to be an INFP)

I thought Gibbs was Ni dominant at first too. I think the way he operates is in noticing that something's "not quite right", in that things aren't matching up to how they're "supposed" to go.

He's often mentioning rules, and is paternal in an Fe kinda way (but with a stoic front).

Also, Si is similar to Ni in the sense of fitting puzzle pieces together to understand the big picture. I don't understand that aspect too well, but it's something I'm intrigued by.
