Just watched Doubt last night... a powerful movie. Here's my take on the characters.

Meryl Streep / Sister Aloysius Beauvier - ESTJ
Philip Seymour Hoffman / Father Brendan Flynn - ENFJ
Amy Adams / Sister James - INFx

hm, ... my shot at the actors:
Meryl=entp . compare with edward furlong
hoffman=entj (or TiNe?) compare with sigourney weaver
adams=enfj i see extroverted Feeling, but also dominant feeling.

A good choice of film for typing - such forceful characters!

Hmm. I think you're pretty much on the mark there. Although, I couldn't say if Sister James is a N or S for sure. I guess I would say she was an ISFP - she reminds me of a friend that is one.

Yes! Now that you mention it, ISFP is an excellent fit for Sister James.

Characters were relatively easy to type. Just reading the blurb, I knew Sister Aloysius would be the PROTOTYPE ESTJ.

Streep is very ESTJ in the role. She was dogmatic in her beliefs unlike an ESTP.

If Hoffman's character is acting in truth than he is an ENFJ, but if Streep was correct in her assumption, he would have been an ENTP. I see ENFJ.

And I agree with ISFP for Adams.

Nanook was typing the actual actors rather than the characters they were portraying and my comment about Streep being an ESTP was me attempting to counter his typing of her.

In the movie, I agree that she is clearly ESTJ.
